This weekend..park.. neighbors and playing with Nolan

I had some blood work done on Friday so I decided to take the day off and spend some time with Zach. Everyday on our way home we pass the Lake on Woodlands Parkway and there is a dragon in it so he always tells me about it when he sees it so I thought I would take him to see it and just walk around. So we went and had some much fun watching the ducks in the water. I think he would have gotten in the lake if I would have let him. I thought it would also make a great place to take some pictures of him here are a few from the day.









Later in the afternoon we got a big surprise Aunt Debbie came and saw us and played the Wii we all had so much fun! It is always nice to see Aunt Deb!

Saturday we didn't do a whole lot during the day but that night we went over to our neighbors house (Troy and Michelle) and had gumbo and german chocolate cake all were so good! The kids had so much fun playing in Mason's room and then getting wet with the waterguns in the backyard. I know Michelle took some pictures so when I get them I will put them up. We love getting together with all of them.

Sunday afternoon Sandra, Mam-Maw and Nolan came by and ate dinner with us and the boys played on the waterslide. It was really nice to see all of them and get to talk with all of them. I know Zach loves getting to see Nolan and misses that we don't get to see him when T-ball is over.

Little boy is growing up so fast

I love looking at baby pictures of Zach to see just how much he is grown over the past 4 years over the next few days I will share some of the pictures on the blog. Today I thought I would show some pictures of his bath in the NICU along with some others I have of him over the years.

Eric's Birthday Party

Yesterday we went to Eric's 4th birthday party. Eric is the son of some really good friends of ours his daddy used to work with Tim at the prison so they have been friends for years and they were the first set of friends I met when we were dating. They unfortunitly live in Porter which is an hour drive from us so we don't get to see them as much as we would all like but we are always excited about this time of year because Eric's birthday is today and then in 3 weeks it will be Zach's so we get to see them twice in less then a month! So yesterday we were at Eric's party and Zach was so excited about going and seeing Eric. I also think he has realized when Eric has a birthday then his is coming up next so he was excited about that also. They play so well together which is great. I'm really glad he has a friend that we can watch grow up with him. Even neater to me is that I have always taken a picture of the boys around their birthdays so we will be able to show them growing up together.

First girl to cry over Zach...

Saturday we went to a wedding for one of the guys that works with Tim and Zach met a little girl. We were standing outside and this pretty little girl walked over and wanted Zach to dance with her and he did they were so cute together. Her name was Gianna and she was a few months younger then Zach but was a few inches taller and had beautiful long blonde hair. They danced quite a bit together and played outside then she wanted to go inside where the music was (which was so funny they had this guy that looked like Willie Nelson singing..thing is he looked like him but didn't sound like him!) Well they danced for a while and thank goodness the photographer took a picture so hopefully I can get a copy! After a while I asked Zach if he wanted to go and find Daddy and brother and he did so we went outside and a few minutes later so did the little girl and she was bawling..it was funny and cute because she was saying I want to see Zachary but man..think of how she will be when she is a teenager!! They played some more and it is funny the things that he did that impressed her like spitting his tea over the deck (I know I shouldn't let him do that but he is a boy so I let him do it a few times). I think Tim was impressed that he was so much like him!

A day at the beach

This week has been eventfull. Monday Zach went to the doctor because he is highly allergic to ants so we figured we would take him in and just have the doctor take a look at him. Dr. said that he may never grow out of being allergic to ants but we would just need to give him some benadril (?) and put some cream on them and he should be ok, she also said that his ears looked great and that the left tube will be coming out soon so be on the look out for a little green tube... well by Thursday this little tube had caused us an issue.. wax got on it and well we had an ear infection in the left ear and the right ear was red and so was our throat. Well I told the Dr that we had planned a trip to the beach the next day and would it hurt if he went. She said she would give him some good medicine to take care of the throat and the ear drops that we had a home would take care of the ears and he would be ok to go. So Friday morning at 4:30 am I had a little boy at the side of my bed saying we go to the beach now? I told him to lay beside me and we would get up in a couple more hours well he stayed in bed till 6:30 and got out of bed and was dressed in his bathing suit soon after. We went and picked up Aunt Debbie around 8:30 and went to Wally-E World to pick up a few last minute things snd we were on our way! We made really good time but he was really ready to get in the water so we didn't get to go on the Farry and check out the old beach house my grandparents used to own. We decided we would go to Stewart Beach since they have the shower building we found a great spot and set up our chairs and umbrella. Then it was into the water!! Zach LOVED the waves the more they would hit him the more he would like it and the more they would hit Aunt Debbie and Mommy even better for him. We played back and forth between the water, making sand castles and sitting under the umbrella. It was so much fun! After we had enough of the sand, water and fun it was time to clean up and get something to eat so we went to Fishtales and ate and boy was he hungry!! He ate almost all of his shirmp. Afterwards it was time to go home. It was so much fun to spend time with Aunt Debbie and we hope that we will get to do this again soon. Here are a few pictures from the trip.

Weekend

This was a fun weekend for us. Friday Zach and I went to see Granny & Paw-Paw that was fun Zach enjoy running all over their yard and of course playing with the dogs. Then we hung out with Gram-maw and DziaDzia and then Zach decided he wanted to spend the night with them. So Tim and I went down the street and hung out with our neighbors and watched fireworks. Sunday we went shopping and got some stuff for Zach's birthday party. Today we hung out around the house and then this afternoon Zach's friends from down the street came over and played on the waterslide and that was a lot of fun for all... here are some pictures from the weekend...hope you all had a great weekend.

The "Luanne" Platter

Ok this is not a story about Zach but it was so funny I had to share. Today at lunch my co-worker said she wanted some veggies to go with what she brought from home so I thought lets go to Luby's and we will just get it to go. So I called to make my order after I told her I wanted it to go she says and the name and I said Luanne and she says I know but what name and I said Luanne then she said but what is the name you want it under and I said Luanne.. the I realized where I had called and she started laughing she was we have a platter and I said yes I know I have been picked on about it for years but that is not where I got my name..it was just so funny. Next time my friend will have to order or I will have to change my name when I order.
