Snow day.. where's the snow.....

Well Zach and I are at home today because the roads are nasty and wet but not from the snow we were supposed to have today....UGH.. Zach was not happy this morning when he didn't see snow like he thought he was.  I woke up with a horrible sore throat.. we have been sick all week and today just capped off the week.  So once we got some pancakes and some medicine down us we decided to play with the new toys I got a few weeks ago..

No I didn't blind my child....with my new Light kit!!!  So excited to get to finally play with it today and that I had a subject that wanted his picture taken!  I had a few shots like this but then I got this...

I'm going to really have to start thinking about posing people.. I see lots of baby and toddler photos on the blogs I look at but I really need to figure out things for older kids.  But this was really fun and I was glad that he worked with me.. I think he looked at it like he had a new toy..

Snow!

Christmas night, Tim, Zach and I went to the deerlease and to our surprise when we got there that night was... Snow.... we had to get out and take a picture right then..



There was so much of it on the side of the road. We decided when we woke up the next morning we would play a little bit and we did!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!!

It snowed here in Houston!! Wow two years in a row.. hard to believe we got so lucky again this year! Deb called me early this morning and told me that it was snowing in Downtown Houston and I didn't believe her then she reminded me that her office was on the 55th floor of the Chase tower then I thought ok yeah she could be seeing snow! Then about 20 mins later it was snowing at my work.. and not just some simple snow flurries.. big ones and lots of them..it was SO COOL! I wish I would have had my camera but I didn't. Then they told us that we could leave at 12 so I got home and got my camera but it had slowed down...





but then right before Zach got out of school we got a bunch more.. I ended up going to pick up Zach from school and on the way I pass the middle school and this is what I saw...
