Red Nose and Soap Microphones

There is a truck at daycare that Zach loves to play with from what I under stand it is big and pretty hard. Well it is one of those toys that every time Zach plays with it he gets hurt. Well today is no different, the teacher says he was running and well he tried to stop and well the truck didn't and he ate the carpet. It got him pretty good.

Tonight Zach was singing to me while he was in the bathtub.. we are still in to the Christmas songs. He was using the soap as his microphone it was cute so I had to take a picture.

Funny story

Last night we were watching Still Standing which is a show that I had seen once or twice but nothing we watched while it was on. It really is a funny show that we will probably watch again. Anyways it is about a family of 5 and their friends and the wife's sister. Well the son and daughter were fighting and the mom says we don't fight in the house and without missing a beat Zach goes we fight outside...we laughed so hard funny what he comes up with!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was at our house this year, so we went to church and then came home & had dinner & opened presents with my parents, sister & hubby and Mam-Maw.

Before (like our new John Deere boots?)

after...

Me & Zach

Opening presents

Zach with Mam-Maw

After they all left Zach had to put out his Reindeer food. (don't you just love the boots and pjs)

and of course put out cookies and milk for Santa

I sure do like those Christmas Cookies

(have you heard the George Stait song)

Zach & I made Christmas cookies for Santa, our neighbors and us along with a cheeseball for us and Mr. Joe (neighbor down the street) so yesterday was the first day we had a chance and boy did we have fun. Zach loves to make them with sprinkles but Santa doesn't like sprinkles (at least he doesn't when he come to our house).

Richmond-Johnson Christmas

Monday night when I got home from the hospital I had a nice surprise, the Richmonds were here. We love getting to see Sherry, Alan, Hannah and Kara. We always exchange gifts for their girls and our boys. These kids are just getting so big when I opened the door Zach was so excited telling me that Hannah and Kara were there and Hannah is now about an inch from being as tall as me (I know it doesn't take much), this is very exciting for her. Boy she was just 6 months when I met her along with Alan and Sherry, she is just getting to be too big! And Ms. Kara well she is just as cute as she was when she was just a little baby, I love getting big hugs from her and boy Monday night did I need one of those big hugs after being with Mam-maw all day. So the kids played and we all talked and just enjoyed each other's company. Then it was time to open presents, boy did the kids love that. Zach was first to open his present since he was the youngest and boy was he excited to see his power ranger scooter. Then it was Kara's turn and she was thrilled to see her Tinkerbell movie. Lastly Hannah opened her gift and was really excited to see her Kit Kittredge movie she wanted. Sherry and I did really good with picking out gifts for the kids they were all happy with what they got and Zach is riding his scooter all over the house and Sherry said that the girls watched both of the movies all the way home that night and didn't go to sleep.

Here are a few pictures of the kids.

Mam-maw

Please keep my Mam-maw in your prayers. This week we have spent a lot of time at the hospital with my Mam-maw. They found gallstones in her gallbladder and so they took it out yesterday. She did really well with the surgary and will be able to come home today. Hopefully this will take care of all of the pain she has been having.

While they were determining what was wrong with her they also found more tumors this time on her liver so she really needs more prayers now since it sounds like the cancer is moving throughout her body.

Thank you Ms. Terra

Ms. Terra is so special to us and she always gets Zachary something for Christmas that he loves and well this year wasn't any different. When Zach opened his Red Power Ranger mask that came with a man and his car transformer he was so EXCITED and had to open them and get the mask on right then.

Thank you Ms. Terra!!!!

Letter to Santa

Well yesterday I decided to pick up Zach from daycare (Tim is working in Conroe so he has been picking him up lately). Anyways I went to his classroom to get him and got his papers and up on top was a letter to Santa that his teacher had wrote for him. As I began to read it I began to laugh and think what do these teachers hear about me and think about me, this is what it said....

Dear Santa,

I want a lot of toys
but I have 3 power
rangers but I want a
dinosaur.

My mommy said no
because I didn't act
right but I want them

I close my eyes when
I got to sleep because
you can see me.

Zachary

Now I never told him no to a dinosaur. I think that the one that he wants is more then he really needs at 4 years old but I haven't told him that he wasn't getting it. I have told him that if he doesn't act right that Santa will not come and see him. It was just too funny tha the wrote that to Santa.

Willis Christmas Concert

Tuesday night we went to Willis for Brenden's Christmas concert. We got to try out my new flash for my camera and boy did it make a difference in the pictures! But it also makes the camera a lot heavier so I got some blurred pictures but with practice they will get better. The concert was great Brenden is in two bands the Jazz band which was first to preform and then he is in the highest band which I can't remember what they call their's. Anyways they start the first song and all of the sudden Brenden stands up and plays a solo. We didn't know that he had a solo so this was a great surprise to us. They play 4 songs and sounded great. Then the 2nd band he was in was really good also but we couldn't get any good pictures of him in that because of the way they had them.

Not the best picture but the only one I have of him doing the solo.

Newest Member of the Family

Meet Rex

Yesterday while we were at the mall I saw a little boy with a cute little dinosaur and thought that it had to have come from Build a Bear and well I was right. Since Zach has an Elmo (who is sick according to him..his voice box doesn't work any more) and a Cookie Monster that my sister did for him when he was little he really had never experienced the whole thing that he can remember so I thought this would be prefect since he wants a D-Rex from Santa and we have already talked to Santa and he will not be getting that this year I thought this would make him forget about that. Any ways he had a great time stuffing it and cleaning it and getting a great Texan sweat shirt. He loves him and it was worth seeing his face light up with him.

Regional Concert

We had Brenden's regional concert last night at Klein Forest HS and what a great concert it was! They had a professor from Belmont University come and teach and conduct them. They did really well!

Texas Snow!!!

Wow what a surprise we all had this afternoon when it snowed in Spring!! A co-worker said his wife called and said it was snowing at his house and then a few minutes later Tim called and said that it was snowing pretty good at the house. I was so excited but hadn't seen it yet but as soon as I got off and got on the freeway it started to get pretty good in Greenspoint! It was so neat to see the last time it had snowed here was Christmas Eve 2004 it was Zach's first Christmas. When I got to Zach's daycare I asked if it had snowed there and they said yes and that they let the kids look at it from the window. He was so excited telling me about the snow. When we got home the snow had stopped I was pretty upset because I wanted to get some pictures and let Zach enjoy it a little bit. But luckly Tim said he took a few pictures of the snow (boy am I a lucky wife or what!!)

It is now around 8:30 and now it is snowing real good here are a few pictures!!
