Christmas

Here are a few pictures from our visit with the Richmonds.. always good to see them!!

Our next Christmas was with Grandmaw, DziaDzia, Aunt Deb, Uncle Jon & Avery.  We all met at church and then came to our house for so Rudy's BBQ and presents!!

After they left it was time to put out the cookies and get ready for SANTA!!!!  We woke up early to see what he brought us.  Zach was pretty excited about his new bike and all the other things he got.  Brenden I think was excited to get money.. what more would a college kid want.. right.. Macy was excited to play with the wrapping paper.  We all also got new Sam Houston "Sammy" Tervis cups.

Brenden left after we opened presents and Zach & I went to my aunt's house to celebrate with my dad's family.  We had a great time getting to see all of them.

Macy

Tim and I kept a big secret from Zach for one of his Christmas presents this year.  As you may remember we lost our baby Zoe in August after Zach's birthday, well the vet told us that we would need to wait for at least 3 months before we bring a new puppy home because of what she thought she had.  So we did as we were told and one night after Zach went to bed as I was pinning a beagle picture to my Pinterest board I looked over at Tim and said could we get one of these for Christmas?  He looked at me and said I will call the lady tomorrow.  He called the same lady that we had bought Zoe from and she said she had a set of puppies that were ready then but we wanted to wait to give him a puppy for Christmas so I called her back and talked to her about maybe holding her until then and she said she would but that she had another set of puppies that would be ready about a week before so we decided that might be better so she emailed us a bunch of pictures of all of the litters she had.  We looked through them all and looked at each other and said maroon.. (She takes pictures of all of them behind different backgrounds)

So we emailed her and let her know that we wanted Zoey's tri color that was in the maroon background.  I thought it was only fitting that we got her from a Zoey.  We decided to pick her up on Sunday before Christmas.  It's funny when we decided she was our baby I had saved this picture to my phone and one day Zach looked in my phone and goes.. Ahhh I want her.. and I told him that I was sorry but she was someone else's that they wanted me to see her. and he said but I want a new puppy.. and I told him so did I but we couldn't have her... he goes.. ok.. daddy said we can get one in the Spring.. and I said that's right we will have to wait until then.  Then the day before we go and get her Tim tells Zach that he can open one present the next day.. well Zach was so excited about that and so the next morning we get up and tell him to get dressed and we all get dressed and Tim finds him looking under the tree picking out which gift he was going to get to open.. Tim told him that his present wasn't under the tree.. He wasn't sure what to think about that but he went with it.  So we get in the truck and travel to Dimebox, Texas a little north of Giddings.  When we get there Tim tells the son that we were there to pick up a puppy but I made sure Zach didn't get out at the same time so he didn't here anything.  So we go back to where they keep the puppies and he takes us to the cage where our baby was and pulls her out and gives her to Zach and he looks at us and Tim says she's yours.. this is your present.  I tell you he was in shock.. it was so cute!   We knew he would be excited and he didn't disappoint.

As you can see she loved him too.. He made sure to put her in his lap and she feel fast asleep.

On the way home we talked about names we talked about a few names and ended up going with.. Macy.  I wanted to spell it Macie but Zach wanted to spell it with a y.

We got her home and she seemed to fit in right away.

We are very excited to have her as part of our family.  She is super sweet and loveable.

Christmas party at school

I took off to go to Zach's school Christmas party today.  This was the first time they allowed more than 2 parents in the classroom (we have a new Principal).  The PTO had cookies and juice for all of them since we can't bring any homemade things since kids can be allergic and they also provided a crafting activity for them.  His teacher also had a few things for them to do.  She had a worksheet for them to work on with a partner where they used all of their math skills to figure out how to help the gifts from the 12 days of Christmas.  Then she had brought a bag full of trinkets from her house and gave all of them one.  They played the left and right game (where she read a story with left and right and they would move the trinkets as she read).  Zach started out with a lollipop ordainment and ended up with a candy cane.. he was happy.  Finally they did their craft which was a felt design they could color and add a magnet to.  I think all of them had a good time and enjoyed their selfs.

Before we left she took down they Santas that they had did it class.. Here is Zach's.. isn't he cute!

Christmas 2011

Well Can you believe Christmas has been here and gone.. Where has this year gone? I mean it has been a blur!

Christmas Eve we always go to church with my parents (Gram-maw & Dzia Dzia) and Aunt Deb and then we go back to our house or their house. This year it was my parents church and then back to their house. Church was nice Zach enjoys getting to ring his bells during the songs, they make it fun for the kids since it is really the mass for them. Long ago we used to have a pagent (I was even Mary one year) along with the Childrens choir singing but they no longer do the pagent but it is fun to hear the kids sing still. After the mass we went back to there house where we ate homemade chili and tamales and of course opened our presents from them.

Zach got the transformers that he had circled in Gram-maw's toy magizine.
I got the T-shirt I have been wanting!!
We enjoyed spending time with everyone but had to get home so we could go to sleep so Santa could come and see us!!
Zach got home and quickly put on his pjs and then put out his cookies and milk for Santa. This year he decided to also write Santa a note.
The Note said: Dear Santa, I hope you enjoyed the cookies and milk. Love Zachary, P.S Could you take a picture of Comet.
After we got the cookies and milk out it was time to put out the reindeer food that he had gotten from church..
It was time to get in bed so Santa didn't skip over our house! Zach went to sleep and magically Santa came and left lots of good stuff for Zach and a note..

Santa wanted to make sure Zachary knew how much he appreciated Zachary's help this month. We as a family decided to adopt a family. The family had 3 kids the oldest being Zach's age and the youngest being named Zachary. This family also had a mother that has been dealing with Cancer for the past 3 years so we knew this was the prefect family for us. Zachary decided that he wanted to help us give and so he gave up his money that he got from the tooth fairy and many other places. We were so proud of him.. how many kids his age would give up their money that they had worked for. He helped pick out toys for all of them and when it came time to pay he gave his money and we gave ours (we did put his money back up for him but we wanted him to get the feeling he helped). We couldn't be more prouder of our little boy! So Santa wanted him to know that he was proud of him too.

Zach was up bright and early on Christmas morning! I had told him to come and get us and then we could all go and see what he got.. Well about 5:30 I feel him tapping me and telling me wake up momma! I tried to convience him to lay down and sleep a little longer but he was not having this.. if you have ever been in my house you know to get from his room to ours you can see into the living room.. well I hear him tell Tim.. Santa brought me a telescope and it is red and black.. I saw it when I looked from my side.. cute huh? So we knew we had to get up and go check out what the big man brought!

Ok so remember it is 5:30 am...I didn't think about what setting I had the camera on and well I got horrible pictures so the next few will be in B&W.. I then realized what they were looking like a fixed it.. ugh!

Zach wanted a telescope and a longhorn watch so we let Santa get the telescope and we got the watch.. he was so proud of it after the picture I had to put it on him.

We all got Texans shirts!!

Tim got him his hunting backpack along with some calls so he will be ready for next year when hopefully he gets his first deer.

After we opened everything we got dressed and it was on to Granny and Paw-Paw's for lunch. We had a great time seeing them and Aunt Laine, Uncle Bubba and Steven. Brenden also joined us there for lunch which was an added bonus! After dinner and a little bit of visiting we left and stopped by Aunt Rosie and Uncle Bennie's. We visited a bit with them and everyone else and I even got a bag a goodies when I left.. She makes these chocolate cookies with oatmeal that are to die for!!! Lucky me!!!
We left so we could get home and let Brenden open his presents.
He got some shirts and jeans.

and some music stuff he was wanting.. this is a cleaning kit...

and this is to take care of his reeds..
It was a great Christmas!

Christmas with the Richmonds!

These blogs are so out of order but I want to make sure to share from everything I have pictures for...

We saw the Richmonds this past Tuesday, it is always a treat to see them.  The girls are getting so big!  Hannah is now taller then me and she is 12!  oh well!  Kara is still so cute and Zach loves to play with her!  Baby Rylan well he is getting big too and he is so handsome!

Christmas 2010

This year we had Gram-maw, DziaDzia, Aunt Deb, and Uncle Jon over our house Christmas Eve.  We all met at church this year at St. Edwards as this is where we have been going lately since that is where Zach will make his Holy Communion next year (2012).  It was great they had a little play like we used to have at St. James (did you know I played Mary one year?) it was cute seeing the kids go down the asle..just wish I could have seen up front but they had everyone standing so I couldn't see.  Then afterwards it was on to our house where we ate Taco Cabana and it was so good.  We watched a little football and laughed about college times and the fun Brenden will be having soon and then it was present time!

Then it was time for Santa to come and work his magic...

Santa must have known that we were planning on changing Zach's room to a Texans/Texas Longhorns/football room because he brought him some some penants and a cool Texans game chair.

Brenden got quite a few things for his new truck which was also part of his Christmas presents from us.

Brenden got a really good printer (I wish I got one!!) it is a wireless one!  Just what a college bound kid needs!

Santa left a little surprise for Zach outside too!!!

It was a good Christmas day we went to my Aunt's house and it fun and nice to see a lot of my family.
