Still here...

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while, I have been a little busy and well my computer decided to give us trouble.. but we have a new one and I'm ready to start blogging again.

Lots of things have been going on. Zach was invited to Eric's 5th birthday a couple of weeks ago and they had a blast swimming in the pool. I have pictures of this but I need to add them to the computer I will do that next week.

We had our 2nd shower in a few months last week and it was a bunch of fun. I made a couple of things for the shower I think they turned out nice what do you think?

Debbie, Zach & I went on our annual trip down to Galveston. We started out early so we could go down to Boliver first. Debbie hadn't been down since Ike so she wanted to see it and I wanted to see how much had changed. Boy they have really done some work down there! If you saw the pictures I took back in Feb you know that it was still full of trash and lots of houses all messed up. Today if you go down there you will see things have began to open up, the trash has been cleaned up and houses are starting to be rebuilt or the properties have started to get cleaned up. I tell you there is a BIG difference. We went down to my Granny and Paw-Paw's old beach house and they have really done some work to it! Here are some pictures...

Even though it is hard to see the beach house look so different it really looks good. I wish I had a picture of the house before they started working on it in Feburary. There have been some big changes and really they look really good.

After that Zach was dieing to get to the beach so we went down to Stewart beach and hung out playing in the water and sand.

Zach wanted us to put sand on him.. he loved it.

We had a great day and it was fun to hang out with Aunt Deb!

So sweet..

I have to share this because it was just so sweet.

We are trying to get Zach to start going to bed early so it won't be so bad next month when he starts school so we have been telling him to go to bed a 8:30 and we let him watch TV till 9 then the TV goes off and we usually see him again with a request to sleep in the recliner (spelling?). That means I sit there and rock him to sleep, so after he cried and cried about it I gave in and rocked him to sleep. When he was really good and a sleep I took him to his room and put him in bed and I hear.... I love you.....and I think he just said it in his sleep it just melted my heart it was so sweet.

This morning when I went to get his clothes and shoes out of his room I saw his Cadillac escalade that Granny and Paw-Paw got him when he was two and just smiled. In the bed of the escalade was starburst..it was just so cute that he went and got starbrust and stuck them in his truck for the ride. (I of course took them out and put them in the bag so we don't get ants) Starbrust are the new candy that he loves. I have them on the bakers rack so he can reach them and he is so cute about them if we are going some where he will go over and get a handful and put them in his pocket sometimes they are for "breakfast" or for his friends we are going to see. When we get where ever we are going he will pull them out and if you are there with him he will even share. I joked with Tim the other day about the colors, I like the pink and red ones and those are the only ones I eat (really are you surprised with this..hehe) and well Tim will eat the orange, red and pink only (now that is a surprise) so I go thank goodness Zach loves the yellow ones! He eats all the colors!

Glad it is Friday! Hope you have a good weekend!

Cousins, Cousins and more Cousins

This weekend was full of cousins for Zachary.

Friday we decided to go up a day early to Tim's parents house, Tim had an old fishing friend pass away and so he wanted to go to the viewing. We had planned to go up on Saturday to see our niece Ashley and her family so going Friday gave us an extra day to play with the babies. Ashley has a boy that is a few hours older then Zachary and then a little girl who will be 3 in December, We haven't seen them in a little over a year and boy have the kids changed. Zach was so funny he said I like playing with my friends and I go those are your cousins not your friends and Ashley is your cousin too! He just thought that was so neat. My in-laws had bought a pool so the kids got to play in it and Zach was much better about going under the water. They all had a blast. Saturday morning Tim put up the waterslide for them. Landyn and Zach had so much fun and was even going down together. Poor Kaylee woke up late and then wasn't fully awake when they brought her out so at first she didn't know what to think of all of it but once she woke up she LOVED it. The kids just had a blast playing with each other and it was nice to see them.

Saturday night we went to The Richmond's house (Sherry and Alan) and Zach got so see some more cousins. Really they are friends of ours but the kids have all been close and Tim thinks of Alan like a brother so they are like Zachary cousins. It was really nice getting to see them, Zach and I haven't seen them since Christmas. Hannah got a great new haircut it makes her look so much older (and makes me feel older! I was just 22 when I met her and she was just 6 months old! Now in a few weeks she will be turning 11!) Then there is Kara who is just so sweet and cute she is 7 now, she unfortunately was not feeling well she had swimmer's ear. We ended up getting some pizza and us adults watch the Nascar race and the kids played. Really nice to get to see them! (Didn't take any pictures)

Sunday was Kaylee's (Sandra's little one) Baptism. It was a long cermony but Kaylee did really well especially when they dunked her in the water (which this was my first time to see them do that in the Catholic church). Afterwards we went to Sandra and Lee's house and ate cake, snacked and Zach and the kids played (more cousins!) It was nice to see all the kids and my cousins. I didn't take my camera with me I didn't know if I could take pictures with the flash in church, once I got there I regretted not taking it because there were some people there with camera's like mine taking pictures.

This baptism was a little hard for me, this was the first one without Mam-maw but I felt like she was right there with us with a smile on her face. I have been thinking a lot about her lately and miss her SO MUCH! I miss getting to talk to her on the way home from work and I know Zachary's birthday will be really hard to deal with since we usually got her for the weekend and she would sit and watch me get things ready. I think Zachary is missing her also yesterday when we were in the truck at Wal-mart Zach said, Is Mam-maw still with Jesus? and I said yes she is still with Jesus, then he goes Mam-maw feel better now.. she not sick anymore? and I said yes Mam-maw is feeling better now that she is with Jesus now. It was so sweet and yet so sad.

Sorry I had to end on a sad note but it was something that I had to share.

Happy 4th of July!!!

This was a pretty good weekend. I decided Wednesday to make it a long one and took Thursday off and then we had Friday off for the holiday so it has been a long weekend. Thursday Sandra and I decided to take the boys (Zach and Nolan) to see Ice Age in 3D. It was really good and the boys loved it. We went back to Sandra's house and hung out for a while and let the boys play a bit, then when it was time to go home the boys decided they needed a sleep over so Nolan came home with us. It is so funny they are so much like Sandra and I was when we were younger they giggled and giggled all night long and played well together. Friday morning they played the Wii and played more monster trucks. After lunch we took Nolan home and of course they had to play some more once we got over there. Lee (Sandra's hubby) asked us what we were doing for the 4th and wanted to know if we wanted to go see Clay Walker downtown. I knew Tim had to work most of the weekend and probably wasn't going to be able to go so I told him that I didn't think we could do that well once we got home Zach asked us if we were going to see fireworks with Nolan and Tim said Zach and I should go with them so I called Sandra and told her we had changed our minds and we would be there. So Saturday we woke up and had donut Saturday (we usually have this on Friday but with me off we didn't this week) then we did a few other things ate lunch and got in a good nap before it was time to go. So they came and got us and we were on our way to see fireworks! We ended up parking at the theater district's parking garage. It wasn't a bad walk over to where we needed to go but it was a ways a way. We ended up finding some shade over on the side we couldn't see the stage but we were hoping we had a good spot to see the fireworks. The boys were having a great time playing and blowing bubbles. Clay Walker came on sounded great played a lot of his old songs and some new. Then it was time for the fireworks...wow did we pick the best place to seat, they ended up being on our side right in front of us. I think it was the closest I have ever been to fireworks and it was awesome! But unfortunately by this time Zach was not feeling well and felt like he had a fever, I think his allergies were bothering him and the medicine I gave him earlier had worn off so I hate that but he did end up watching and enjoying the fireworks. The walk back to the car wasn't too bad except for me having to carry Zach almost all the way back thank goodness he isn't too heavy yet. When we got home I checked and sure enough he was running a fever so I gave him some meds, 7up and a cold rag to break the fever and it did a little bit, he ended up falling to sleep and when he woke up this morning he still had a bit of a fever but this afternoon he started to feel better. I have just made sure he stayed inside and made him lay around and rest today. Here are a few pictures from this weekend.
