Tomball ISD FFA - Pig Show

Last Friday night was the Tomball ISD FFA show and my godson Blake showed his pig Mr. Oinkers.  This was his first year to show anything and he did a great job!  His pig was in the 7th class.  Blake did so good with showing him.  I was very proud of him.  They walk them around the arena and try not to used their hands to move them around.  They have a stick they use that helps guide the pig.  There is a judge that will walk around and look at the pig.  They will try and find the best one.  They look at his muscles, weight and I'm sure a few other things.  Blake ended up getting 8th out of his class and he also got showmanship which means he guided the pig correctly and worked well with him.  Because he got this he got to come back out at the end of the show and try to get a spot in the sale.  He did really good in the Showmanship class but unfortunately didn't get it.  By the time this took place Mr. Oinkers was over it and tired.  But they both did very well. 

Blake you did so good!!  I am very proud of you and can't wait to see what you raise next.

Happy 15th Birthday Blake!

I want to wish my Godson Blake a VERY Happy 15th Birthday!  He was born while I was in college and I was so honored to be his Godmother!  He was such a cute little baby and has become a handsome young man. 

His mother asked me a few weeks ago if I would mine doing some pictures of him for his birthday.  So we met one day after work and got a few good ones of him.  These were from that day.

Blake - All Stars game

Last night we went to see my godson Blake play in the All Star game at Orwall.  This is not his first time to be on an All Star team but this time he is at the age where they play on to Williamsport.  So we were very excited and proud of him for getting on the team.

Unfortunately the lost the game last night and play again tonight and again lost but those boys all played well and should be proud of themselves!  I know I am proud of them and especially of my godson Blake!



Blake

Last weekend Zach and I went and watched Blake play baseball. We love watching him play but these year we haven't gotten to watch much this year since our game seem to fall on different days or they are at different times of the day. But we decided that we would just go back up there and watch him play and we were so glad we did. It was a great game and Blake did well and to make it even better they won...Go Rangers!

Texans vs Cowboys!!!

Last Saturday night we got see the Texans BEAT the Cowboys!!!  We took Blake with us for his birthday and it was also part of Zach's birthday present.  We had a blast!

Saturday with Shelly, Blake and Skylar

We spent Saturday with Shelly, Blake and Sky in their pool!  We had so much fun hanging out with them!  I took a few pictures of the kids having fun..

Tuesday's game against the Rangers

Tuesday's game was good.. we are back to winning again.. we've only lost one game all season.  They don't really keep track of the score but you know when the team wins and loses.  Zach got two more outs.. he is doing really good about getting people out.  I think we have grown up so much since last year you can just tell on the field that he is paying more attention to the game.  Hard to believe we only have 2 games left.. where did this season go?

After we were done with our game we went to see Blake.  Boy what a game he had!  When we got there he was up pitching and did very well.. Then they went out to the outfield and Blake went to play 2nd base and that is where he shined!  He made 3 outs boom..boom..boom.. I was SO PROUD of him!  It was great to see him do so well.  Here are some pictures that I got..

This is probably my favorite.. even though you can't see Blake's face I love that it is him in the background and then you see Zachary.
