Zach and Nolan

This weekend was the annual Monster Truck Jam weekend (that post will come later this week.. hopefully). We have taken Nolan with us the past four years or so. This is always fun for all of us.. yes even I enjoy the monster trucks! Anyway like I said more from that later..

Today the boys woke up early (as normal) so I had told them they could turn Zach's TV on and they could play the Wii as long as they didn't argue.. I also told them if I woke up because of the arguing it would not be pretty.. but they did really well and when I woke up the were playing well together. So I made the bisquits and deer sausage for breakfast they all tried it but decided it was to hot for them.. it was a little spicy for them but I was glad they tried it. They then went off to play in Zach's room. They played very well with each other. Before lunch they decided they wanted to go in the backyard on the trapoline. They ran and jumped and ran around and jumped some more.

After they were done playing we got them in the bath tub and we started getting things ready for there next activity... making lunch!  Tim went and got everything for them to make their own pizzas.  He told Nolan that he was going to have to make his own lunch and Nolan thought he was crazy.. but then when he saw what we were making he thought it was pretty cool..  I think they enjoyed making them.

The pizzas were great the boys ate them all up!  It was fun to have Nolan spend the night again.  After we were done it was on to Kaylee's 3rd birthday party were we had a great time at Build A Bear and then on back at their house.

New baby calf

Last Friday my parents got a new little baby.. baby calf that is..

Isn't she cute?  We thought she was black until I got her from the side and she was in the sunlight then we saw that she was a pretty chocolate color.

Look how silky that hair looks!

Mommy and baby.. so sweet how they take care of their babies!  She wouldn't let us get close to her and if she tried she would tell her about it.

We can't go to the farm and not help Dzia Dzia according to Zachary.. aka his number one helper.. poor Gram-maw!  He will tell her she is it when he is not there.. Zach loves sticks and they needed some sticks moved to the burn pile so he helped them out.

and of coarse he had to put them in the fire.. don't worry we watched him and didn't let him get to close to the fire..

Can you guess what Zach stepped in.....

Do you think Zach loves his Dzia Dzia?

Dzia Dzia working hard..

I love the sun setting from there..

The neighbor across the street has a dog that will come over and see mom & dad well this time he brought over his new little brother.. Zach loved playing with the both of them.

It was a fun time.  Zach enjoyed getting to see the new baby and so did I along with getting to spend some time with DziaDzia and Gram-maw.

I love Pinterest!

I was on my new favorite website the other day.. (thanks Deachi!!) Pinterest!  Have you been on it?  It is so much fun!  You no longer have to bookmark a favorite recipe just pin it!  I have found so many good ideas for photos, recipes and how tos!  I have already made a mop type thing made from yard to use in baskets for babies and this past Sunday I made another props/gift for girls..a bow!

This is the site I found the how-to

Here is mine..

I didn't want to put lace behind mine.. but I think it looks just as good.  I'm going to put some clips on a few too.  I made 8 of them..I thought I would do several ways besides the headband.

FCS Championships!!! Eat'em up Kats!

Last Saturday a game that I never dreamed would be played was played.. my Sam Houston Bearkat Football team went up against the Bison North Dakota.  Back when I went to Sam you would have never believed this game would have been played but it was and what a great experience it was!

We got up early and started our day at Ihop.  So after we got our food several bison fans came in and they sat them next to us.  We show Zach that we could be good team sports by talking to them and they did the same.  We even told them good luck as we were walking out.  Really they were super nice.

Then it was on to the field where we did a little bit of tailgating before we went to see the pregame festivies.  There were quite a few people already there.

Zachary was ready to go!

There was also another important game taking place that day.. and there was a lot of support for our Texans too!

They had a area full of things to do for the young and old.  We could also cheer on our team into the stadium..

We also saw the president of the university...

After that we checked out tailgate town.  Zach had to do all of the drills.  They had former players helping them which was a treat.  After wards they autographed some stuff for them.

Then it was on to the Pep-Rally!  I didn't get a picture of brother because well..I'm short and it was hard to see the band.. but he was there!

After that it was time to get into the stadium...

We got a real big treat we had a soldier that had been hurt in combate bring in the Texas and United States Flag.

The Bands were moved to bleachers to make room for more fans but it turned out good it made it like battle of the bands.

Then it was time for the coin toss.. guess who came out on the field to help with this.. Jerry Rice from the San Francisco 49ers (and Dancing with the Stars)!

The fans were ready to go!  We didn't get Bearkat Nation spelled out this time but we did have the original Bearkats spelled..

The game started.. nerves were there!  The game went well in the first half our defense was good and held them but there defense was good too and they held us!  We ended up getting 2 field goals and they got 1 so we went in the half looking good.

Where's the Johnson's Moment.. if you look really hard you will see me with my camera and Zach & Tim.. if you were watching the game they had us on ESPN2 also!

Halftime!!!

The second half of the game didn't go in the way of the bearkats.. there was a trick play were they faked a punt and we just couldn't get in a rhythm.

Our boys fought hard all year long but it just wasn't their day.  I can't even express how proud I am to be a bearkat and alumni of Sam Houston those boys played hard and I can't wait to see them next few years.  I also have to say how proud I am of the band also, they put on a great show every week!

Brenden it was fun watching you out on that field, I'm always so proud to tell the fans around me that ask why we are there.. that I'm an alumni and proud mom of a son in the band.
