Swimming with Erin and Eric

Yesterday we hung out at our friends Mark & Melissa's, Tim did some work and helped put a window air conditioner in. Zach enjoys going over there because he loves to play with Eric and Erin....and well maybe getting to go swimming too. So the kids were all excited to see each other and us adults were too. The kids played and played and asked to go swimming but we told them they had to wait until it cooled off. So we watched them play and Melissa made some good Chicken & Dumplings so we ate them and the rolls she fixed..YUM-O also. Then it finally cooled off and the kids got to go outside and swim. Erin and Eric are swimming so well now they were swimming good when we first started going over there but you can see even more improvement. Zach is doing well too I didn't have to get in this time with him which was nice. He still wears his floaties but you can see he is starting to do a little more. We had a great time with them all and look forward to the next time we get to go over there adn visit.. and swim!

Happy Father's Day

Ok so what it is 4 days later.. I've been busy!
Zach got lots of time in the water this weekend. Friday night Tim put up the waterslide this is the first time we have had it up this summer and it faired well over winter. We also got lucky Friday night because brother came to visit us for the weekend.

Then Saturday Tim went offshore fishing with his brother Thomas. It was what the boys and I gave him for Father's day. He had a good time except for getting a little sea sick but said he would go back and do it again.

While he was doing that the boys and I had a great day together, met up with mom & dad and went to the cemetery to see Mam-maw and we ended up staying and visiting with them and watering the grass there. Then the boys and I went to eat lunch at Chili's it was nice just being me and my boys. Then we came home and just hung out and watered the backyard some more and so Zach had to get his bathing suit on and play.

Sunday we hung out at the house. I think the fishing trip just took it out of Tim so he wanted to just stay home which was fine with me. We did grill some steaks and potatoes that afternoon and of course we were watering again and Zach was out in the water.

All in all a good weekend.

Zach did end up getting a summer cold/sinus issue on Monday his nose has been running and he has had a cough that I couldn't get rid of and well that morning he told me that he had a headache but I was thinking he just wanted to stay home well the more I thought about it once I got to work the more I thought I should call and check on him and well sure enough he was still saying he had a headache and was not playing and that is just not Zachary so I went and got him and took him to the doctor. They gave him some meds and now he is much better.

BTW he is really liking his new daycare and I really like them also. They seem to really like him and he has been able to make new friends. I figured he would do well and be ok but I just always worry about new things.

Well that is all for now, talk again later take care!

birthday parties, sprinklers and Up

We have had a really good weekend. Friday night we hung out with dad played the Wii and ran in the sprinkler. Zach was so funny out in the sprikler and Zoe wanted nothing to do with it even if Zach told her it was fun.

Then Saturday Zach was invited to a birthday party for his teacher's little girl. Zach had a really good time playing on the playground, playing on the bouncy and plying on the John Deere tractor...

Pictures of Zac with the birthday girl.

Today we got up and went to church at St. Edwards in Spring, we decided to go there since church was at 9:30 instead of 9:00 like Sts. Simon and Jude is. This gave Zach more time to sleep and since the movie started at 11:30 this would give us less time in between. Any ways we sat down and Sandra came over and asked if we wanted to come and seat by them which was a treat for us we got to see Nolan and baby Kaylee (and of coarse Sandra and Lee). Nolan and Zach sat next to each other and did pretty well. It was nice to see them. Then it was on to the movie. We got our popcorn and coke and sat down and enjoyed the movie. It was pretty good but I was glad that Sandra had told me a few things before we went.. like you see the old man go from boy to old man with his wife and you see them as kids and then getting married, then losing a baby and then the wife dying when she was older.. it is a little sad to see that but it is also important to understand why the man is the way he is.. it was still a good movie and Zach really enjoyed it.. One other important thing to remember we went to the 3D version and well I had put some extra butter on our popcorn and well the glasses don't fit well on Zach and well there were fingerprints on his glasses that I had to get off before the movie started.

Did you bring your jamas?

Brother came to see us tonight, Zachary was excited and asked him "Did you bring your jamas?" He did so we get him for the night! Last time we saw Brenden was at the Spring Concert and Zachary thought that night brother was going to come and spend the night..he was a little upset to find out that he was not cause he had school the next day. Brenden has been really busy the past few weeks so we are excited to get one night with him. Tomorrow night he will be playing for graduation, Saturday is graduation parties and then Sunday it is on the SFA (Stephen F Austin University) for Drum Major Camp. He will be there until Friday learning everything he needs to know about being a Drum Major.

Last week he was at Disney and look what he brought back for little brother.

Pre-K Graduation

Friday was Zach's Pre-K Graduation they had them all dressed up in caps and gowns and they were all so cute. I did really well through the whole thing I did tear up but never cried.. but all I could think about was that 3 lb little baby that is now such a big boy. They sang a bunch of songs that they had learn like the days of the week (english and spanish), alphabet and number rock, the I'm a Tex song and many more. It was really cute. The teachers worked really hard a getting little things about each of the kids up on the wall. One of the things was when I grow up.. Zach's said he wanted to be a football player and another was he wished he had superpowers.
