First week of School
Well Zach made it though his first week of school and seems to still really like it. I notice though that his a lot more hungrier in the afternoons and by 8:30 he is ready for bed. He likes his teacher and says he has some friends. I took a picture of him the other morning.
Our first football game of the season....an hour and a half late
Well Friday Zach was so excited because it was time to see brother in the band and of course the football boys. This week we were in Huffman which is down 1960 past Lake Houston. We got there to their new stadium which is really nice and got through all of the beginning things and then the lightening started we thought for a minute it might stay away from us but then it got closer so they came over the PA and said that they were going to delay the game for 20 mins until the weather passed so everyone got off the stands and in their cars and the band, drill team & cheerleaders got in their buses. Boy did we get the rain and lightening well an hour and a half later it started to slow down and well the band, drill team & cheerleaders buses ended up leaving which I was not sure why they would put all those kids on the road in that but they did and about 10 mins later we ended up getting out and going back in the stadium because they were still going to play the game. What a game we had too it started at 9 and ended at 1! I think every play in the first quarter had a flag it took an hour to play the second quarter didn't get any better the refs were horrible! During 1/2 time we watched the Huffman band then it was on to the 2nd half. 3rd and 4th quarter still had lots of flags, Huffman lead most of the night then we ended up getting it to 30 Willis-29 Huffman then last minute they got a touchdown and ended up winning the game. It really was fun to watch and get into the game. Towards the end of the game one of the football parents ask us which boy was ours and we laughed and told them that our boy was the drum major, I think they were surprised we stayed to watch the game. We love watching 1/2 time because Brenden is in it but we LOVE watching the football game too plus what else were we going to do we had already paid to get it we should stay and enjoy it. But that is definitly the longest game I had been to!
My only picture of Brenden
They were the High School game of the week for 93Q so they had Kevin Kline (DJ) and Torro come to the game.
The new thing this year it they have add smoke to when the boys come out.
Finally a picture I got at the end of the night.

Look what we found..
This weekend I have been transferring some 8mm video to dvds (yes I have a new toy!), anyways we found a cheap little camera in the video bag and Tim and I wasn't sure if it was deer pictures or something from when Zach was born. So Sunday I took it to Walgreens and today after I left the school I went by Walgreens and picked it up and this is what I found...

My fave.. because I don't have any that really shows how little he truly was.. and here it is.

Ok so I did really good with today and didn't cry until I saw these.. I didn't really cry either but there were tears.. I just can't believe this little baby is now this big Kindergartener... where did the time go?

First Day of Kindergarten!!
Well today is the day I have dreaded since Zach was born 6 weeks early! Today was the first day of Kindergarten. I've always felt he was being cheated out of a year becuase he wanted to make an early entrance but truly our little boy was ready for school just like he was ready to come early five years ago. He talked about school all weekend and this morning wasn't any different. I decided to take the day off becuase I wasn't sure how I was going to handle the day. He woke up early and helped me pick out what he was going to wear and tell me what he wanted for lunch. I thought we would hang out a bit but he was ready to go to daycare so I went to Shipley's and got him a donut for his big day then we were off to daycare.
Here is a picture of us next to one of their buses:

Pictures from Birthday
Here are a few pictures from Zach's birthday. We had hot dogs and Gram-Maw DziaDzia, and brother came over and we opened a few presents and then we played a little Wii Resort (I love that game!)
Brother got him a couple of Willis shirts to wear for football season

Zach had to wear his new Spiderman outfit to take a picture

His godmother Shelly bought him what he wanted.. it is a Bubblebee Transformer

Birthday Party, Zoe and a visit to the NICU
Yesterday we had a small party for Zach at Main Event in The Woodlands. We just had Nolan, Eric, Erin and little Kaylee (well she just watched). They bowled for about an hour, then we had cake and finally we opened presents. The kids I think really enjoyed getting to bowl and then we had a lane for Deb, Brenden, Sands, Melissa and me to bowl also... I know us adults had a bunch of fun.

Did you know we have spiderman living with us..

When we got home last night Zach had to play his new Wii Resort game.. boy that is a fun game if you have a Wii you need this game! When we got home today we had to play some more.
We decided to go to the NICU tonight after dinner but first Tim went to feed Zoe and she didn't come like she usually does come to find out she went under the building and was stuck! She just looked at us and cried. Tim had to get the shovel and dig her a hole so she could get out. She acted like she didn't want to come out after Tim did that he kept whisling at her trying to get her out finally I walked outside and called her and she ran out. She was muddy from head to toe! So I washed her off and then dried her. She had us both so scared. We definitly didn't want anything to hurt our baby! Which by the way we have had her for 3 yrs tomorrow, we got her on Zach's 2nd birthday.
So after we ate and saved Zoe we went to Northwest and showed Zach where he stayed for almost 2 weeks after he was born. When you see those babies in there it is hard to believe Zach was in there just as small if not smaller then some. It all looked the same. We didn't see any of the nurses that helped us but we left them a big bag full of chocolate candies and a card with a note about Zach and how we appreicate everything they did for us. I also put a picture of him when he was there along with his baseball picture from this year so they could see how much he had grown. We hadn't not been there since Halloween of 2004 when he was just a few months old, I've always thought it would be too hard to see that place but it really was good tonight to think of how far we had come since that night 5 years ago. By this time then (9:30 pm) that night before he and I had already scared the nurses and we were waiting for a room in Labor and delivery. That was one scary night that I will never forget but in the end it was worth everything we went through because we got a handsome, sweet and loving little boy out of all of it.
Well I think that is enough for now. Tomorrow I will put the new video up. He and I are taking the day off so we will be hanging out doing who knows what!
