Mam-Maw

It is so hard to believe that my beloved Mam-Maw has been off this Earth a year.
  • I miss calling her and her giving me advise even if I didn't want to hear it when truely a lot of the times she was right.
  • I miss putting my head on her lap and her playing with my hair.. even as old as I was there was something about her doing that that just relaxed me and made me think everything was going to be alright.
  • I miss her good food!!
  • I miss her helping me with Zach's birthday party.. usually she would sit in my love chair and talk to me while I fixed things for the party.
  • I miss her at family holidays.. Christmas Eve was really hard going to church and her not there in the pew with us.
She was such a great lady and so many people loved her.  She is greatly missed.

I started making a video of a lot of the pictures I had of her after she past it was helpful to me and sad to see but I stopped working on it but got it completed Sunday.  Both songs make me think of her.. I want to warn any of my cousins and sister this will make you cry or at least it did me.. but it is great to see her in the pictures.. I'm so glad I took a lot of them while she was here.

I love you Mam-Maw and will see you again.

Happy Birthday Kaylee

Well I recently took some pictures of my cousins little girl Kaylee she turns one today and my cousin wanted some cute little girly pictures.  I think they turned out really cute.

Normally to me Kaylee looks like her dad and his family or her big brother, but in this one she looks just like my cousin.  I think it is her smile and those cheeks.. it is one of my faves.

Monster Jam 2010!!!

Well tonight we went to the Monster Jam at Reliant Stadium.. let me just say I had two excited little boys!  We took Nolan again this year and those boys had a blast!  We also had two new members with us this year.. Dzia Dzia and Gram-Maw!!!  I think they enjoyed watching the boys like we do.

We got there early and got the boys their shirts.. which is a must!  We realized that they were having a Demolition Derby so we walked over and my Uncle Johnny had some cars in it so we watched it and it was so much fun to watch.. when I was little Dad would take me to see Uncle Johnny in them so it was neat to give the same experience to Nolan and Zach.  I think Zach loved watching the cars smash into each other.. I don't think it was Nolan's favorite part.. but I think he was really just ready to see the Monster trucks...

After that the boys wanted to see where the Monster trucks come in so Tim took them over to the part where they come in.. They were so excited about all that were going to perform.

Then we went back in and the show began!  The boys really had a blast this year.  Nolan I think really enjoyed it more this year since he has been watching it on tv everyday.  Zach just loved everything. It was fun for us adults to just watch them get so excited about everything.

Here are a few of the highlights...

Monster Mutt

Maximum Destruction

Grinder

Grave Digger

El Toro Loco aka..Toro!!!

We took a lot more pictures.. Check them out!

What a great night had by all!  We can't wait to go again next year!!!!

I know it has been a while!!

Ok so I have been busy! I took a break from blogging but I'm back! I have been taking a bunch of pictures while I have been gone so I'm going to share them with you now and tell you a little about all of them..

So first a sneak peak.... Kaylee's first birthday.  Had a great time taking pictures for my cousin and her little girl Kaylee.  We took a bunch of little girly shots with lots of cute little girl things.. I can't wait to show you some more pictures but I'm going to wait until after her birthday party which is next Sunday.

Then Nolan got to spend the night with us that night and boy those boys had a blast.  They played their DSs and were really good.. funny they are so much like Sandra and me when we were younger.  They giggle and laugh and just have a great time together.  When it was time to get night clothes on Nolan liked Zach's football pjs so because we have quite a few of them now (thanks again Mr. Paul!) I put them both in a pair of the pjs.

We have also been to mom & dad place and Zach declared it Muddy Boy Day.. he did pretty good at getting muddy and so did the rest of us!

So we are still here and doing ok!

Happy Birthday Mam-Maw

This picture was taken at Mam-Maw's surprise 84th birthday party..what a great day it was and boy was she surprised...this was her first birthday party.

Today would have been Mam-Maw's 86th birthday it is hard to believe how fast this year has gone by. Last year we still had her with us and 20 days later we lost her. This will be another hard day for our family to go through. I know I will be thinking of her all day today.. I wish she was with us so I could give her a big hug and kiss and tell her how much I love her. My only hope is she is in heaven playing dominoes (boy could she play them!) and drinking a beer.

I love you Mam-Maw and miss you so much.. Happy Birthday..
