Zach got a big surprise yesterday when I picked him up. I took him to go see Monsters vs Aliens in 3D. He has been talking and talking about this movie and last week when we went to Market Square he thought he was going then so when Tim told me that he didn't feel very well and just wanted to relax I thought this would be great for Zach and I to do. I love getting to have Mommy and son time and this is probably one of our favorite things to do. So we got our tickets and then had a little bit of time so we went to the mall to get something for Tim and then we came back we got there about 5:30 and the line for the 6:35 movie was already to the door so I thought we would just wait to get the popcorn and drinks until we got in. Then at 6 they let us in to see the movie. When we got in the theather it was already pretty packed. So we got a seat and then I thought we need to get the popcorn now so I asked lady by us if she minded watching our seats I hated to do that but I didn't know what else to do. Anyways we got our popcorn and the then the preview started they had some in 3D also which was neat to Zach. The movie was great Zach loved it. I wouldn't say it is the best movie I ever seen but it was not the worst I ever saw either. It had some really funny spots and you do fall in love with Bob the Monster..he was Zach's favorite. Zach loved that things we coming towards him also there is a scene where they have a soon floating and I saw him try to reach out and get it.. it was so cute.
When the movie was over we were walking back to the truck and Zach start saying there's our truck right there and starts telling me my license plate number we aren't even close it it so I know he wasn't reading it and at first I wasn't thinking that was what he was saying and then it hit me so when we got in the truck I go what is our truck's number and he said it again. I was so amazed. Then when I started the truck he goes I was some dessert.. some cake. I go cake what cake are you talking about? He goes you know cake some chocolate kind..then I realized he meant Cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory. I said Zach do you mean cheesecake? He goes yes from that place. Now you have to know sometimes we will go eat somewhere or go and do something around The Woodlands and then for dessert, Tim will go through the valet and I will get out and get it and then he will pick me up..but last night that wasn't going to happen since it was just Zach and me.
It was a great night with my little boy, hopefully we can do it again soon.
Mom and Dad brought me some of my pictures from Mam-Maw's house and as I was pulling one out of the frame and I found another picture of me that I didn't remember. Just thought I would share it and one of Zach's.
We got our Easter bunny picture done yesterday, I took Zach to Market Square in The Woodlands because I had heard that they had live bunnies you could take pictures with but I didn't see them so we walked around a little bit and enjoyed shopping a little bit. Then we went to the Mall and found the Easter Bunny and took a picture with him. The we did a little bit more shopping and came home.
Today was Nolan's 5th birthday party, his birthday was last month but he just got a brand new sister at the end of January so Sandra thought it might be better to wait until this month. Any ways, the party was at the bowling alley and then at their house. They got to play a game which was right up Zach's alley! He had never been before but loves to play bowling on the Wii and is pretty good playing on it. So I didn't know how he would do really playing but he did great, he got a strike and two spares. He ended up with a 94 which I thought was great. I didn't get a whole lot of pictures since my battery was very low (I forgot to check that before I left home) but here are a few I did get.
Last night was Zach's 2nd game. I was in the dugout with one of the other moms boy was that fun 9, 4 and 5 year olds they weren't to rough on us. Anyways, Zach did really well he didn't get out at all this time which was great he made 2 runs. He seems to start getting comfortable and is starting to hit like he was at the Y. He still wants to get all the balls but by the end of the game he starts to focus. We don't have another game until the 26th because of Spring Break.
This Saturday was Opening Day for Baseball in Tomball. What a fun day we had the parade early that morning, then game for my godson Blake, pictures and then Zach's first game. It was a busy day and by the time we got home we were so tired.
My Godson Blake
BTW.. His number is #1 because coach decided to go smallest to largest.. He thinks it is so cool to be #1.
Tim and Zach made a holder for Zach's team's banner for the parade on Saturday. This will be on the trailer that will hold all of the boys. The bungee cords are there just so we can take pictures, Tim has another way he is going to put it up there. Tim really did a nice job fixing it for the team.
Zach and I practiced a little bit of baseball in the back yard.
Zach had his first practice game last night. All of the boys did really well. Zach got to runs and one out not too bad. We are still having some issues with him wanting to dance out on the field but that could be because he is 4. I didn't get any good pictures of him last night. It was dark and I'm still figuring all of that out.
We did also see some of my godson Blake in his practice game. He was pitching when we saw him and I think he was doing pretty good. I did get a couple pictures of him out there but you can see the fence... but I think I know what to do now to get better pictures of him also. Here is a picture of Blake.
Oh I forgot to put in the last blog we found out when the first day of Kindergarten is August 24 :-( He will be going to a new school by the house called Muller Elem. I know he will do great but it is so sad to see my baby (he doesn't like me to say that he is a big boy as he says) grow up.
Wow it is already Monday! This weekend went by too fast! We were busy though. Friday Zach had practice at 6 it was good Zach did a good job getting the boys out on 3rd and then they worked on throwing to 1st base. Here is a picture from that.
Saturday we woke up and Tim had to go to work so we called Gram-maw to see what she was doing and she was at Kohl's so we met her up there and shopped a little bit and then she decided that she would go to practice with us so we took her home and then went to lunch at Zach's favorite place chips, cheese and rice (Mexican food - Mi Rancho). Then we went home got changed to our practice uniform and were off to practice. Boy was it windy! They worked on some hitting but mostly worked on learning how to watch the base coaches to get calls...this will need a little work as most are not used to having to do this but they will get it. They are all doing so well and have learned so much in just 6 practices. We have our first practice game tomorrow and then Saturday is the big Grand Slam day we will have a parade at 9, pictures at 11:45 and then our first game at 1 followed by some playing at all the games and stuff they will have for them. It should be a fun day!
Zach talked his way into going with Gram-maw and DziaDzia and spending the night with them. So Tim and I decided we would go to church so we didn't have to wake up early the next morning and then we went to eat at Brio, Tim had never been there before so I thought it would be something different for us. Everything was SO GOOD. We got the Bruschetta Quattro which is a sampling of 4 different kinds of bruschettas they were all good but my fave was the shrimp one. (oh and for all of you out there who know how picky I am.. I ate everything on them and didn't pull anything off.. can you believe that.. Tim didn't and he was there to see!) We also shared a wedge salad. Dinner was really good also I got my usual Tuscan Grilled Pork Chops and Tim tried the Prosciutto & Fontina Stuffed Chicken Breast...talk about good! I know next time I go I'm getting that! It was really nice to have date night with Tim, hopefully we can do that again soon.
Sunday was my Paw-Paw's birthday so I called mom and told her Zach and I would go to see him. So I went to mom's house and we went to see Paw-Paw and Granny. It was nice to see them and get to visit a little bit. I also took my camera because she always has flowers in bloom and they are always so beautiful. I love taking pictures of the flowers and of Zach out there. Here are a few that I got.
