This past weekend Tim and I decided to get away for the weekend. I thought it would be good to go to San Antonio, Zach has been talking about the Alamo at school and he heard something about Sea World so I thought it would be perfect. So we decided to make it a Zachary weekend do all the things he might like. So Thursday after we got off of work we got in the truck and left. It was a good trip we got there kind of late but it was still early enough to sit out on the balcony. We stayed at the
Omni La Mansion Del Rio it was on the Riverwalk and it was beautiful. We decided to make sure we got a room on the side of the river we thought that would be neat for Zachary.

The next morning we woke up and at breakfast at our hotel. They had a great buffett with lots of good things and they also had an omlet station. After that we were off walking..we walked down the river and found a mommy duck with her 5 babies.. aren't they cute!
As we were walking we came right by the Alamo so we had to get a picture of Zach in front of it..
Here is our hotel room from the riverwalk.. we are first room from the bottom on the right..
Then it was back to the Alamo..
Ok I did something that I was not supposed to... I took a picture inside.. (without the flash so I didn't mess anything up) but this was the one and only picture I got.. I'm so sorry I got it I didn't see the sign.. but look how cool it is..did I say I was sorry... I really do know how to follow directions!
Then it was on to the Towers of Americas.. This was built in 1968 for the Worlds Fair.
This was from the top of the tower.
The Alamodome from the tower.
What is it about these things.. I get the best pictures of Zach..this
from last summer
Then it was on to the Riverwalk boat.. Zach had a blast.. I wish I would have gotten a picture of all of us on the boat like we got when we took Brenden.
This was the little bridge by our hotel..
Tim had saw some carriage and had promised Zach that we would come back that night. We walked over to where they were over by the Alamo and on our way we saw a women playing the fiddle and she was playing a song but when she saw Zach with his Texas Longhorn shirt she started playing "The Eyes of Texas" I told Zach she is playing your song.. Zach didn't know what I was talking about so I told him that that was the longhorn school song. Tim gave him some money to put in her case.
Here is our carriage..
At the end of the day we got some ice cream from the place across from our hotel and then it was on to bed so we could wake up early for Sea World!
