T-ball Practice

Yesterday was our second T-ball practice. Zach and Nolan were excited to be practicing again. We got our schedule and I thought I would put it on here we would love to see you out there.

Hope you are having a better week then last everything is starting to finally get back in order. We are still having issues with people getting lights but kids are starting to go back to school and people are going back to work.

Ike part 2

Well we made it through Ike. It was a horrible experience and I hope it is many more years before we have to do that again. We had a little damage to the fence and one little water spot that we think came from the pipe on the roof but Tim thinks he fixed that and the spot dried up (it really wasn't very big). We got lights back Sunday morning early but then the cold front came and so did the rain which made the retention pond over flow and come into our neighborhood. We luckily didn't flood but it came too close! We ended up staying with my parents which was fun since my sister and brother in law and Mam-maw were there also, we called it our big slummber party. Tim had gotten a generator on Wednesday so we were able to have lights and even the dish worked we were able to watch TV. We got to come home on Wednesday night the water finally went down enough for us to get in and out of our neighborhood. I will be going back to work tomorrow in the tower since my building is messed up and looks like we will be there for 2 to 3 weeks. Tim back to work today and slowly but surely every thing is coming back together. I guess the best thing that came out of all of this was my family was able to be together for 4 days with my Mam-maw we had so much fun with her playing dominoes (and her beating the crap out of us) and just being with her. I hope your family came out well. Take care.

Zach and I got ready for the rain and wind that is what I am telling him we are going to have. I got off at noon today so I was able to get gas for the generator we got last night. Tomorrow Tim will be working (yes everyone still needs their beer..) and Zach & I will be doing a few things around the house to finish getting everything ready.

We just hope that we get through with minumum damage and we wish the best to all of our friends and family. Good Luck!

Blake's Football Game and Grigsby Family Visit

Saturday was alot of fun for us. Zach and I went to wal-mart and did the shopping for groceries and a birthday card for Blake (my godson) and then got some donuts. Then we went to see Blake play football for the Tomball Jr league. It was alot of fun to watch him, he has grown up so fast it is hard to believe he turned 12 on Friday boy where did the time go! Anyways he played really well for the first game. Zach did ok but since it was noon and he had been up since 7 it was time for a nap but overall he was ok I guess. I got to get some pictures of Blake playing He is number 55.





When we got home Zach laid on his bed for a bit then Mark, Melissa, Erin and Eric came by and the kids played on the waterslide. They did that until the water got so cold it turned them blue!





After they were done we had dinner, Tim fixed BBQ ribs and I made mashed potatoes and settler beans (we got the recipe when we went to Dallas for my cousins wedding reception.. Thanks Aunt Laine we have made them twice and they are a big hit!) and rolls and Melissa made Mac N Cheese. Then we had cookies for dessert. Everything was really good and it was nice to get to see them! Later we played this game and right now I can't think of what it was called but I remember the box and I am getting that game. It was really fun to play and just really good to set around and talk with friends that we don't get to see much. It was a good visit!

Sunday we hung out and watched football all day and some nascar it was nice to just relax.

Willis Vs Spring Dekaney

Well Friday started with a game for Willis. We won 16-14!! Hard to believe that they went losing 26 games and now they won 2 in the row. It was a really good game and we didn't have it until the end. Half time was great the band looked wonderful and I got some better pictures this time of Brenden.

10 Wildcats...

Well we have visitors.. no not the real kind the imaginary kind.. yes in fact we have 10 of them.. the wildcats as he calls them. They are his football friends that run through his wildcat (you know the things the football players run through) and then while playing football (yes in the house) they play with him.. in fact last night he let them sit with me.. (pretty sweet huh..) it is just so funny how he is so into football, it doesn't matter to him if it is professional, college or high school he wants to watch it. I remember when he was a baby I would put him in his bouncer and set him in front of the TV to watch the Texans and he would be so happy and he is still that way. It is so cute to see how excited he gets about going to the games every Friday and how worried he is about getting to see Brother in the band. I just had to share the fact that I have a whole football team at my house these days. Hope you are having a good day. Labor day

Today Tim had to go to work to do inventory so it was just me and Zach this morning so we did a little grocery shopping and we picked up some brownies while we were there so after Zach got up from his nap this afternoon he was ready to make them. He did really good I measured the stuff and he put it in the bowl to be mixed. After we were done his favorite part is licking the attachment and the bowl. I had to take some pictures of his face it was too cute!
