Last Game of the Season

Saturday was Zach's last game of the year and we play the #1 team in our division but our boys didn't let that get in their way!  They played their hearts out and surprised the other team.  They played so well together as a team and were just on with everything.  Zach is still playing catcher and he was so good about watching the bases.  One play he saw the boy running for 3rd so he through the ball to the third basemen and the boy decided he better run back to 2nd..it was great!

Even though they played they best game it was enough to get the win.. but boy did they give them a run for the money!!!  Final score 19 Rangers 15 Astros

After our game we had a small little party for the boys.  We got some pizzas and had some drinks for them and let them play a little.  The coach had asked me to make each player a baseball card so we gave everyone a team set this year was our first year not to get a participation trophy (yippy!!) so he thought this might be something different for them.  I think everyone had a good time..  

Games aren't over yet!  We have a double elemination tournament this week.. So wish us luck!

Spring PTO show

This year they had a Spring PTO show at Zach's school and it include two grades one being Zach's.  This was based on what they had learned in their PE class.  His grade did a bunch of different skills such as cup staking, warm up exercises, basketball around cones and his class did soccer skills around cones.  Then after each class was done that had an excise routine they did to some music.  It was all really good.

Field Day!

Back in the beginning of April (yes this is a little behind) Zach had his field day. This year it happened to fall on my Friday off so I decided to help out. I got there early in the morning but they had all of the positions filled so they asked if I would hang around for the afternoon which I was happy to. I gave me some time to follow Zach and his class around which was fun! I had a great time and was happy I got a chance to do this.

First day of first grade!

Today went well for both Zach (and me) he was up early and ready to go so I was happy about that.  He decided he was going to wear his jeans, John Deere shirt, belt and boots but when we put the boots on we found out that he out grew them like he outgrew everything else this summer!  So he settled for tennis shoes... but I think he looked cute!  I picked him up from school and he told me that he had a great day and was on an E which was great. He was ready for his snack of cheesesticks and chocolate malt from Sonic..one of his favorite snacks!

Last day of school

Can you believe this school year is over?  It has both flown by and yet been very slow.  I've been so proud of my little boy who is growing up so fast.  There is so much that he has learned in the months he has been in school.. He can read, write paragraphs and so much more...you won't believe what they have these kids doing these days.. we even have homework during Summer.. Anyways back to my baby.. he has really grown up to be a great little boy and I'm so proud of him!

What I learned in Kindergarten....

So tomorrow is my babies last day of school... Brenden will have his last day of being a Junior and it will be Zach's last day of Kindergarten.. so today we got homework for the summer (yes homework), a photo album with pictures taken over the year, and a cute little book with words from Zach's teach and then some questions they asked them.. like his favorite friend is Macy.. color is red.. when he grows up he wants to be a cowboy.. but my favorite two things were.. What I learned in Kindergarten...he wrote..go to recess and my favorite subject... he wrote...go to recess... and let me remind you we are just finishing up our Kindergarten year!  I laughed it was so cute and probably so true for him.. really we had a great year a few bumps in the road with conduct but since we got our 3rd set of Nemos (aka... ear tubes) conduct has gotten better.. and our grades all year long have been E's and S's so I'm very proud of him.

Ok here is Zachary's Kindergarten pictures.. I think they turned out cute but there is one thing that at first bothered me but then when he saw them and giggled, I began to really love them..

You will notice a little thing on his shirt.. is it a brand.. nope.. that would be a Halloween sticker that Hayden B gave him... when asked why didn't you take it off for your picture...because I like it.. do you hear him giggling the whole time.. It was quite funny and cute..
