Sundance Square - Ft. Worth

We went to see Sam Houston Baseball team at the NCAA Ft. Worth Regionals a couple of weeks ago and we had a little time before one of the games so we went into Ft. Worth and checked out Sundance Square in the heart of downtown.  The last time we went we checked out the stockyards and had a blast but we wanted to see something different this time.

Walking we found my favorite radio station that I listen to on a app.. Called 95.9 The Ranch they play Texas County Music...

Then we found the Rangers Store.. you know we had to stop in and get a baseball shirt for Zach.

We also had to stop in the Dallas Cowboy store to pick something up for Aunt Deb!

Down the street from this you can see the Tarent County Courthouse.. You know how I love courthouses.. I didn't get a great full photo of it but like what I got.

It was a fun little side trip.

Vacation - First Mel Tillis and Merle Haggard Concert and back to Texas

While we were in Branson I saw a commerical about Merle Haggard coming there that Saturday night well we were leaving Friday so I told Tim that figures!  So Tim got on my ipad and found that he would be in Durant, OK at the Choctaw Casino with Mel Tillis.  I thought that was so funny because the first time my parents took me to Branson we were given a choice who we wanted to see and we picked Mel Tillis.  So we decided that that would be a great place to stop for the night so we got tickets and a room at the casino.   We had a blast at the concert.  We told Zach about Mel Tillis' song "Coca-Cola Cowboy" and Tim told him that his dad used to sing it to his mom (his dad works for Coke dist.)  Luckily he sang it that night so Zach sang along with it.  Merle was really good too and I think Zach enjoyed him too.  This was also Zach's first time to see a casino and boy were his eyes big.. until I told him that the people were losing money.. he didn't like that part. 

Saturday we got up and we happy to get back to Texas!  We decided to give Zach one more first..

Cooper's BBQ at the Stockyards in Ft.Worth.. it was SO GOOD but I have to admit it is even better in Llano!  But we all enjoyed it!

We had a great trip!  We were happy to go on vacation and relax but I think we were happy to get back home too.



Grimes County Courthouse

After the game Friday night we drove through Anderson, TX which is where my family is from and where the Grimes County Courthouse is located.. It was night time and well I didn't think I got a great picture of it but then I worked the photoshop magic and look..

Harrison County Courthouse (former)

I got another picture of a courthouse while we were on vacation and this was one of the counties I worked while I was at Anadarko so I was super excited about it.  This is the Harrison County courthouse which is actually now the former courthouse but look how beautiful it is...
