Long weekend

Wow this was a long weekend. I left early on Thursday to take Zach to the dentist, he did well and we got a good report. Friday Zach and I went looking for a new daycare closer to home.. it is amazing with all the neighborhoods around us that there are basically 3 daycares that will go to his school. Kids R Kids was horrible.. I walked in and knew they were not for us which is upsetting since they are the closest. Primrose which is by far my favorite but they have no room for him in the after school program. So we are left with Children's Courtyard (which is the most expensive during summer) which is not a bad place looked nice people seemed friendly and Zach seemed to like it. But this is something I really hate having to do, we REALLY like the daycare he is at in The Woodlands and he has been with most of the kids since they were 2. We haven't made a forsure decision yet but I will let you know what we pick. Saturday we decided to go up to Tim's mom & dad's and go fishing at our friends Mark & Melissa's place. We had SO much fun! Tim's dad and Zach caught quite a few fish and had a blast doing it.

Oh yeah I got a fish too!

Sunday we went to church with our in-laws then we came home and Zach rode his T-Rex 4 wheeler around the house.

We came back home Sunday night and at with Gram-Maw and DziaDzia at Hooters it was SO good! and it was good to see them!

Monday Tim cleaned the insides of the trucks and Zach and I took them to the car wash we also hung out in the front yard and enjoyed the morning breeze. Before we left Saturday the kids from Klein Oak Music Department came by and put flags out in all of our yards they are doing this to help get money it is not a bad deal they will do like 6 holidays for $30, it was nice to see the neighborhood with all of the flags.

Zach said he was riding it the championship and then he told me he won!

Got to keep that bike running fast!

We hope you had a good weekend! We also are very Thankful to all the men and women out there which this holiday was created for.

Swim Class

The other day was swim class and Tim brought me the camera so I could get some pictures. Zach is doing well he is still brave but not as brave as the girls in his class but we are now jumping in the water without holding the teachers hands (we got goggles and he promised me he would jump in without holding hands if he could have them) we are also now putting our head in the water.. not going under but he is putting his face in the water looking for crocodiles and sharks. We won't know what to do with ourselves after that we have been busy with baseball since February and then we went right into swimming after that so we haven't had a break. Here are a few pictures we only have one class this week coming up..

Lots to blog about!

Wow it has been a busy week we had something everyday this week I'm thrilled to be home tonight watching the NASCAR All-Star race (GO JR!!)

Anyways lets start with Monday, Zach was supposed to have swimming and he did for about 10 mins then it started Thundering and well they called them out of the pool. So Wednesday we went back and had a longer class to make up for missing Monday. Zach is doing well on his tummy but doesn't want to do the back and put his ears in the water or at least that is what I'm thinking the reason is. But he is still really enjoying being in the water and learning. (I'm planning to take the camera to the last class)

Tuesday night we went to Brenden's Band concert. He was in 3 different bands and I have to say we missed the Jazz band (this is my fave) Tim had something at work first and well we were late getting there.. the second band he was in he had to play a different instrument (normally plays the Alto Sax but play the trombone) for his final and so they let them play the song they learned it was really good considering these were instruments they hadn't ever played. Lastly was his Wind ensemble (this is the highest band they have) They did really well also and when it was all done his sax teacher came and found Brenden's mom and asked if Tim was his dad and he told him that Brenden really has talent and is a really good player. This was really exciting to hear and boy are we ever proud of him. Which brings me to the other thing that I failed to say last week but trust me we are proud of this also.. Brenden will be the co-drum major for the Marching Band next year! That is so exciting for him, I know he worked very hard to get it and I can't wait to see him out on the field next year!

Thursday night was our first of two make up games. Zach did really well.

Today was busy also we started bright and early this morning with a T-ball game.. this was our last one for the season.. it is hard to believe that this season is over already. Zach has learned so much and has become a better player..I'm not saying that we aren't still dancing and always paying attention but you can see a big difference between his playing and his attention spand this year.

After the game we raced home changed and got back on the road to Huntsville. 10 years ago yesterday I graduated from the great university...Sam Houston State University.. Eat'em Up Kats! So I looked to see if they had a baseball game at home today and sure enough they did so I figured it would be a great oppertunity to go up there check out the campus..get some shirts and gear and go watch a great baseball team. So we got up there early and went to the bookstore and I got him a shirt, hat and small ball and got me some shirts then we walked the campus.. in many ways it is still the same campus I walked 10 years ago but then there were a lot of new things also. It was fun to show Zach the buildings I had classes in. He thought there were lots of steps and for those of you who went there you understand that! Also heard shift change at the prision..for those you who did got there Huntsville is where most of the prisions are in Texas and so they have the shift change "bell" that when you go there you get used to hearng at certain times of the day..it defintily brought back memories! After we walked around then it was getting time for the game. I went to the baseball field but no one was there and then I thought maybe they got a new one and sure enough they did over by the football stadium. It is really nice and really well deserved the baseball team has always been pretty good. Zach had a good time I got him some popcorn and a pepper and we went and got a good seat. He was screaming "Go Bearkats!" I was so proud! They played a good game and was going back in forth with Texas A&M Corpus but in the end lost by two points. It was a great game and Zach enjoyed his self we will have to do that again soon!

All I could think about while taking this was.. I wonder if they still put soap in here.. it was always funny to see all the bubbles!

At the game!!

It was a great week and we look forward to the next week as it will be less busy!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Happy Mother's Day to all my fellow moms out there!

This weekend has been packed again.. we really need a break one weekend..

Yesterday we had baseball in the morning and Zach did well.. we only have 3 more games before our season ends.. I will miss getting him play baseball every week and I'm sure he will miss playing!

Going to 3rd base..

Playing Pitcher

We had a big moment that afternoon Brenden went to PROM.. my baby is old enough to go to prom can you believe it. He looked so handsome in his tux and he date looked very pretty. We decided to meet him in The Woodlands since that was where the prom was and where they would be eating. There is a little park in between the library and the Cynthia Woods Pavilion. It was a nice place to take pictures.

Check out more prom pictures.

Pictures from the past weekend.

We had a pretty good weekend. Zach had baseball and did well (no pics.. camera was with me) while he was there I was walking for Skylar.. This was my first game I missed but it was ok because it was for a good cause. I ended up raising $815 Thanks to everyone that sponsored me! My group raised a little over $8000 which is fabulous! Sunday we didn't do a whole bunch but we did let Zach ride his bike and T-rex. Zach started swimming lessons this week and has done well.. the boy is not afraid of the water! It is scary to be on the side and see this but I have tried to sit back and let the teachers teach him. This weekend coming up will be busy Zach has a game on Saturday, then we will go to a benefit for a 2nd cousin and then it will be on to see our big baby in his tux for prom.. I will make sure to put pictures out from the weekend.. here are the ones from the past weekend. Hope you are doing well.
