Spring Break - Day two..batting cages

So the next day Sherry and I decided to take the kids to the batting cages in Palestine.  This was Zach's first time at the batting cages so it took a little bit for him to get used to but I think once he got the hang of it he loved it.  It is at an arcade which you know that means we also had to play some games.

How sweet.. Zach loves Rylan...

They were playing Deal or No Deal.. these kids were good they should have been on the show.. they won 200 tickets (top prize) twice!

So glad we were able to hang out with them it was so much fun!

Spring Break - day one fishing

Can you believe week befor last was Spring Break???  Where has this school year gone?  Zach ended up going to daycare Monday through Wednesday then Tim was able to take off Thursday and Friday so he was with him.  I had a project at work so I didn't get to get off until Friday but it worked out well.   Thursday Brenden came to the house and stay with us until Sunday.. Tim and I wanted to get a way but we weren't sure where to go we looked at Austin, San Antonio and Dallas but decided to go and hang out with our friends in Palestine.  We woke up early Friday morning and set out for our trip.  We got there early we went by our friend's house and all decided we were going to go fishing with the kids.  So the guys went first so they could catch some perch so we would be set when we came fishing.  The kids had a good time playing out by the pond and of coarse doing a little fishing.. Alan was the only one lucky enough to get anything.. oh well it was good to hang out with them!

I hate that Kara is not in focus but I love this picture with her smiling and Hannah and Rylan's expressions..

Car Show and the Richmond Girls dance at the Dogwood fest..

Weekend before last we went up to Crockett to see Tim mom (please keep praying for her) and get my father in law out of the house.  So he has been talking about the car show they have during the dogwood fest in Palestine.  So Tim, Zach and I got up there early and Zach and I took his dad off while Tim stayed and took care of his mom.  I wasn't sure how long we would be up there but I figured any time would be good for him.  So we got there early enough that we got to see the parade and well I had talked my parents into coming up with their car the '38 Chevy.. When we got there the parade was just starting they had all kinds of small floats and lots of cars.

Dad's car

Zachary was super excited when Gram-maw motioned for him to come and get in the car.. she said he waved to everyone as he went by.

After the parade we went over to where they had the car show and met up with mom, dad, and Zachary.  The Richmonds minus Alan were already there and hanging out with my mom and Zach.  We talked to them a bit and then they had to walk over to where the girls were going to dance so they walked over and the rest of us checked out all of the cars.  This year there weren't a bunch of old cars there were more mustangs which were fun to look at also.  But from the old cars we did see I mostly got stuff like this..

Then it was on to watch the Richmond girls dance!  I love watching these girls!

It was a great day for all of us.. it was neat to see Zachary with his Paw-Paw and DziaDzia
