Blake - All Stars game

Last night we went to see my godson Blake play in the All Star game at Orwall.  This is not his first time to be on an All Star team but this time he is at the age where they play on to Williamsport.  So we were very excited and proud of him for getting on the team.

Zach and his Godmother

Unfortunately the lost the game last night and play again tonight and again lost but those boys all played well and should be proud of themselves!  I know I am proud of them and especially of my godson Blake!

Sorry I've been busy!

Can you believe it is the last day of June already.. where has this month gone?  We have been busy with life in general these days and well I haven't taken a bunch of pictures.  I'm sorry I haven't blogged in two weeks (boy that is hard to believe) but I back and will try to do better!

Last Friday Deb, Zach and I had our annual Aunt Deb, Zach and mom day because it has been a million degrees outside I felt that the beach might not be the best place to go.. so we decided lunch and a movie might be better.  We went to lunch with my friend Donna who I have known since I was 18 we have worked together at 3 different companies and she has always been a great friend well when HighMount sold part of their properties to Linn, Donna got to work with Deb.. but Donna has since left Linn and so we decided we should meet her for lunch so we could talk and gossip..plus her birthday is today (6/30) so we thought we would celebrate that too!  We had a great lunch enjoyed getting to see her.  After we took her back to work it was off to the Movies!  We saw Cars 2..all I can say is the first one was better and to me they should have left it with that.. but the new one does have some good parts.  So we were sitting there before the movie and deb text me and says Popcorn now or ice cream later.. we I couldn't finsh reading it and Zach was asking about popcorn.. so we got it and some drinks.. really you can't do a movie with out the popcorn.. even if we just ate lunch.. After the movie we were driving and Deb goes.. I still want ice cream.. hehe I go so do I!  so we ended up going to Marble Slab and getting ice cream.. it was so funny I was talking to Zach about what he was going to get and Deb goes cheesecake with butterfingers in a butterfinger cone.. I go are you kidding.. that is what I was going to get.. I never thought she would have picked what I did!  Oh boy was it GOOD!  We then took her to HEB and she got stuff for dinner then we took her home and Zach and I went home too.  Mom had called later that night and said that her and dad were going to come by to bring some shorts she had bought for Zachary.  I told them that if they were going to the country Saturday that we would go with them.  I wanted to see how the fire damaged the stuff around them.

Tim had went to Crockett for his parents small aniversary party some friends gave them at the hospital afterwards he went to the deer lease to put some corn in the feeders and do a few other things around there and then Sunday he went back to Crockett to see his mom again.  Please continue to keep her in your prayers.

Saturday morning mom called and said that they were going to the country and that they were leaving the house so Zach and I got up and got dressed so we would be ready for them.  We got up there and all I can say is wow.  The way the fire jumped was amazing.  you would see green and then burn.. green and then burn... I wish I would have gotten some pictures but we didn't get a chance to stop.  As we were driving around we did find something pretty cool..

Aren't they cute!

After we got lunch and the stuff we needed Dad had some work that needed to be done.  He realized quickly that he had a little helper..

He worked hard with dad.. where ever dad was Zach was right behind him wanting to help.

On our way home Zach knocked out!  He just worned his self out working so hard with his Dzia Dzia!  We got home and hung out watching movies.

Sunday morning we woke up late and then went shopping and got stuff to make a good supper and some desserts for Tim when he got home.

It was a great week with my little boy!

Taekwondo

I haven't put anything on here about Zachary taken Taekwondo.  He started right after baseball finished and has loved it.

This was taken his first day.

We have taken Nolan with us and gotten our "V" patch.

Zach and Nolan

and Now today was his first time testing was offered..so I emailed to see if he should be considered or if we should wait for the next time.  They suggested that since he had been going long maybe he should wait for August but they wanted us to bring him so he could see what happens.  So I took him up and they let him do everything that the others were doing.  I was quite a bit aways from him but I could hear him doing the yelling they ask them to do so I knew he was working hard and I could see he was giving it everything he could.  At the end of the test the teacher called Zachary up.  I figured she might have a couple of nice things to say and then he would get another star or something (he got two gold stars for getting all A's and 1 B and all E's and S's on his report card).  So she tells the students that Zachary had not been training very long so he was not testing today but she was very proud of him because he was giving it 110% today and he really could have probably tested.  She said that he was loud and did everything so well.  She said I have something for him... she said they have pins that they got from the Grand Master but they are to be given out to people who they think will be future leaders.  They are not pins they give out very often..but that she felt that Zach had deserved it.  He was grinning from ear to ear.  I was busting inside so proud of him!

Sorry the video is sideways I'm not sure how to turn that around....we are SO PROUD of him!

Hannah & Kara's recital

This past weekend was Hannah and Kara's Annual Dance Recital.  We have been going for years to see the girls dance.  It is so funny I see the little girls dancing and I remember when the girls were that age dancing.  They are young ladies now and they both do so good at dancing.  We love to get to watch them each year!  Here are a few of the pictures I took.

Day Three...Zach's big surprise!

So Saturday we were keeping track of how University of Texas was doing at the Regionals for baseball, we saw that they would be playing on Sunday so we thought since we were so close we could surprise Zachary with going to the game.  This is something that we have done before when Sam Houston played Rice at Rice a couple of years ago.  He loves going to college games as we have been to a few other Sam Houston games so we knew he would be super excited especially since this time we would be seeing his longhorns!  So we got up early checked out of the hotel and started on our trip to Austin.  On the way we decided to try to get our tickets so they would be waiting for us when we got their..love my phone!  We got them and finally got there.. it was so funny Zach figured it out as soon as he saw the stadium and was SUPER excited.  So we got there early enough we could get some Regional shirts for all of us, some more longhorns stuff for Zach and Tim got him a hat and of course time to take some pictures!

The Longhorns played Texas State University Bobcats

The players and fans singing "The Eyes of Texas" Zach had his horns up and was singing too.

It was super hot but by the 5th inning clouds came and so did the spinkles!  We all just sat there and let it rain on us... the game was really good Texas State gave the longhorns a run for the win but the longhorns came through in the and won 4-3!  Zach was so excited and wanted to go to the next game at 5:30 but we decided to go.. we saw that A&M was playing at 6:30 and we had thought about and drove by their stadium but I was tired and had to work Monday so we thought maybe we could do it another time...it would have been neat to do two different regional games in one day but I was ready to come home!

It was a great weekend for all of us to get away and just take a break from everything going on.

Sea World Day two of vacation!

We got to Sea World right as it opened which was great!  We got the map and started planning out our day first up Sesame Street's 4D.. this is the place to go when it is hot outside because it is really cold and they squirt water at you (I think I forgot to put on the other post we had also went to the Texas 4D movie that is in the Tower of Americas.. it is a must see, it takes you around Texas and wait until you get to Houston!)... it was a great show...

Next it was the Sea Lions show!  Zach loved this show and giggled the whole time.. it was so cute!

The music was playing and Zach had to get out there and dance.. he is like his mommy!

It was then time to see Shamu!!!  It was not disappointing!

Zach had to feed the dolphins!

It was a fun, hot, long, hot (oh I said that twice) day at Sea World!
