Packed weekend!

Wow what a weekend we had it was terribly busy but fun. Friday night Brenden came and so we had a nice family night at home with one of our favorite suppers-- appetizers. I usually load up on all our favorites. Then Saturday morning we woke up earily and Zach & I went to see Nolan play T-ball. He did really well and we enjoyed getting to see him and baby Kaylee (and of course Sandra and Lee). I have pictures but my computer is down so I will try to add some at the end of the week when I have my camera here at work. Then we found out that Zach's game got cancelled due to the rain we had the night before they were unable to get the fields done. This was actually a good thing because we were able to go to Alyssa's birthday party at Zach's favorite place Chuck E Cheese. He had a great time and got to see all of his cousins which is also a big treat. We then went by Shelly's so I could help with getting baskets ready for the walk. They always have a silent auction so Shelly & Aunt Rosie always gets the stuff together for it. Zach enjoyed going over there because he got to play with Blake (aka his best buddy according to him). Then we had to leave because Mark, Melissa, Erin & Eric were coming to eat with us. We always enjoy getting to see them and the kids always enjoy getting to play with each other. The adults enjoy getting to visit and play a game or two..or three of Rummikub. Zach was so worn out after they left he got in his pjs and sat in my lap and was out. He really enjoyed his day. Sunday we all decided to sleep in.. in fact Zach who normally wakes up around 7:30 on the weekends didn't get out of bed until 10. We just laid around the house and watched the NASCAR race. It was an enjoyable weekend!

As promised pictures!!

Vs the Astros

Great game Zach got 3 runs and hit really well.

Kindergarten, Prom, Rain and baby Max

Ok let's see if I can get this all in...

Friday I was off so that I could take Zach to get registered for Kindergarten yes can you believe my baby is going to be a Kindergartener?!?! It just doesn't seem right! When I called to get his shot record from the doctor they realized that he was missing a new shot that Texas is requiring so we decided that we would get it done before we went to teh school. I decided not to tell him until we got there and even then I let the nurse tell him...he was not a happy camper! But he got it and he was fine.. so it was off to the school and he got to meet his principle and she was really nice. While I filled out all of the paperwork Zach went and played with some kids I wasn't sure about it but I know I need to let go a little bit. It was really sad and I did well while I was in there but I called my mom when I got in the truck and cried!

That afternoon we were supposed to meet Brenden and get his tux for prom.. can you believe that too he is going to prom with his Senior girlfriend. Well it rainned really bad and Tim told me to just wait and not get out. So once he got home and the rain let up a bit we all went up to Willis and got his tux ordered. I think he is going to be very handsome and I hope to get some pictures of him in it...so I will add them then.. Prom is May 9th.

So Saturday's game got canceled due to more rain! So Zach and I hung out here and Tim went to help his friends Mark & Melissa. But that afternoon we went to baby Max's birthday. He is my friend Deachi's little boy. He is so cute! Zach had a great time at the party because another friend of mine's little boy Tyler was there and they are about the same age and have seen each other since they were babies and have always played well with each other. The party was great Max got lots of great stuff and we all enjoyed great food, cute monkey cake and great time being with friends. Zach also loved his goody bag I don't have any pictures from the party but here are soem pictures from Sunday and him playing with the silly string he got (Thanks Mrs. Deachi for the balloon, candy and especially the silly string!).

Here are just some pictures I took in the back yard.

And then Sunday night..a pirate came in my kitchen!

Finally and before I forget I cross stitched this bib for a friend of mine at work her shower is next week. I need to iron it but I took the picture so I wouldn't forget.

Hope you had a good weekend!

Wow what a game!!

Wow Zach probably played his best game to date. He got 2 outs tonight! The first one the told him to throw it to first and instead he took the ball to 2nd and got the runner out! I was so proud of him. He has really just improved so much this year and that play was just so big! He hit really well also and got 3 runs in.

Zach's outs

Don't you love his "boy make up" that is what he calls that when he sees it on football and baseball players. One of the dad put it on all of them I thought it was really cute and he loved it.

The Boys

We went to Grand-Maw and DziaDzia's house for Easter. It was really stormy after we got there. But DziaDzia got the BBQ done and Aunt Debbie, Uncle Jon, Granny, Paw-Paw and Uncle Greg came over and we ate. I made a German Chocolate cake for dessert it was pretty good if I say so myself, this was the first time I ever made a homemade from scratch cake and icing.

Zach playing basketball with Granny

Aunt Deb made chocolate chip cookies and Zach Loved them.. we called him cookie monster.

and finally..DziaDzia with Zachary.. how sweet

It was definitly a rough day without Mam-Maw being there but I bet she was looking over us today.

Hope you and your family had a Happy Easter.

which comes first....

the chicken or the egg..(are you singing the song?)
that is what I thought of this week when Zach came home and told me eggs come from chickens and chickens come from eggs. Actually he told me that the chickens shoot the eggs out of their butts.. I did have to laugh when he said that. Well I hope you Easter weekend is going well. Thursday we had a game but I don't really have any pictures to share can you believe. He did really well this game. He got his first player out. He had just gotten hurt and was out a play and had just went back in. He caught the ball and got the boy out on third I was so proud of him and he was so proud of himself! After his game we stayed and watched Blake's team get a win. Friday Zach and I met up with my parents and Debbie and we went to plant flowers at the cemetery for Mam-Maw and Grandpa Posinski. It was nice for us all to be out there but it was different not to have Mam-Maw there with us as normal. This is something we have done most of my life if we didn't take flowers out to my Grandpa we would at least take Mam-Maw out there. There were years when we couldn't go out there also or someone else would take her but I can say there were lots of years it was us. Anyways, Zach decided he was going to help us so we let him clean the head stone and then we let him play with the water hose and water all of the spots around us. Then when we were finished we put out the Easter eggs. When we went out to the truck I got Zach a new shirt out because his was wet and Debbie walked by when his shirt was off and said oh I see you.. and Zach without missing a beat goes.. He's a hotty.. He's a hotty.. You know the Toby Keith song.. Zach loves it and love to sing it in Wal-mart.. how white trash are we! hehe Anyways Debbie's face was priceless, she didn't know what to say to him. It was definitely funny! It was a great family day.

Game 6 vs The Rockies (yes we played them again)

Another great game last night. Zach had some more good hits and mostly play out field positions last night.

I love that he is the only one in focus.

It was so cold last night Tim put his Disney sweat shirt under his baseball and amour shirt to keep him warm.. I loved the hood-y hanging out.

We have 3 yes 3 games this week we have a make up game from a rainned out game so tonight is our only night at home.

Game 5 vs The Rockies

We had another great game yesterday. Zach got 2 runs and got to play pitcher for one inning. They are so cute but they all want to be the one to get the out so when the catch the ball they don't throw it where the should.

Zach has been dying for a blue snow cone so I told him that we could go and get one after this game and then we could watch Blake play the rest of his game. So when we got there he was up to bat so we got to see that as we were walking up. Shelly said he was doing good that game. Don't have any pictures of him at bat but had some of him in the outfield.

Decided to get a picture of the boys in their uniforms after the game.. Zach's lips are so pretty blue from the snow cone..but cute picture of them!

Game 4 vs the Astros

We had a great game Thursday night. Zach did really well he is finally hitting like he did at the Y and I think it surprised the couches. He got 2 runs in and one out but he really tried to run to 2nd base his legs just could get him there fast enough! He also ended up getting the ball and tried to get the player out he was really close and hit him pretty hard but didn't make it in time. I've been really proud of him this year he is just learning so much and doing so well. Go Dodgers!
