First Engagment Pictures

Well I have been asked to do this couples wedding and since they hadn't seen any of my pictures before I told her I would do some engagement pictures for her so she could decide for sure if she wanted me to do the wedding.

We met a few weeks ago in The Woodlands in the park by the pavilion there are so many different places to get good pictures around there I thought it would be perfect and we would be able to get some good ones. The Bride has been married before and has 4 well behaved kids so since they were there I told her they would be in some of the pictures also.

I think I did pretty good for my first time what do you think? Leave your comments and well wishes for the happy couple!

What a great family and I enjoyed getting to spend the afternoon with them and really appreciate my sister Debbie coming and helping me!! Thanks Deb! Wedding pictures will follow in May!

In case of you don't know I am now doing this on the side just for fun, I have a good company that prints the pictures for me. Let me know if you would like me to take pictures for you.

Early 10 year anniversary getaway

Well next week Tim and I will have been married 10 years so we thought we should take a weekend and get away and this past weekend we did. We went to beautiful Wimberley, TX and had a great time! We took off Friday and took our time going up. So for lunch we stopped in Lockhart and ate at Blacks which is one of the oldest family owned bbq.. boy was it good!!!

Walking outside I noticed their county courthouse was just a few blocks away. I love old Texas county courthouses so we had to go and take a picture of it. We were in Caldwell County.. look how beautiful it is..

Then we went into Luling, TX and found these oil wells that they had decorated and of course we had to get pictures of that...

Then on to our guesthouse it was really nice and private. We were on the side of a hill so we had a gorgous view and there were deer everywhere even the "backyard"

That night we ate at the guy from Carrabba's place.. the bigger one sold his part and moved out to Driftwood, TX and built a winery. The food was SO GOOD! and the cheesecake is to die for.. if ever out that way you have to go by and try so worth the drive and money!!!

Right now his grapevines are to young so he is buying grapes and bring them in to make his wine but his vines should start producing in the next year or two.

The next morning we woke up and ate breakfast out on our deck and enjoyed the scenary.

Tim told me that a lady was coming and sure enough she did and she brought her massage table so we both got a massage. It was really good and while Tim was getting his done I went on the deck and ended up going to sleep.. just the right breeze.. it was great.

Then it was on to lunch.. Tim gave me a map for everything so I could help him and the map never had anything else but the map so I never knew where I was going.. well this map so New Braunfels and you could see that Gruene, TX was really close so I was hoping that meant we would get to go by Gruene hall and well when I said something to him about it he smiled and said we will have to see... well come to find out we were eating next door to it!!! I was so excited when I saw it, it looked just like all the pictures... for those of you who don't know Gruene Hall is one the oldest dancehalls in Texas and it is also where a lot of the Texas Country singers play and/or get their start.

(Where we ate...so good burger was dripping with grease and cheese..YUM-O!!)

Still has the wooden floors and the chicken wire on the windows.. how awesome is that!

We went back in to Wimberley afterwards to get some pictures of the town..

That night Tim took me into San Marcos and we had sushi and our own private teppanyaki table which was nice the food was really good! For those of you who don't know yes as picky as I am I do eat sushi!

Then we made a circle around and got to see Gruene lite up then back to the room.

Sunday morning we woke up got our stuff together and it was on to Buda, TX so Tim could see the Cabela's there.. it was nice but looked just like the one in Denton that we saw earlier this year...So he asked if there was anything else I would like to do and I told him I wanted to go and see the capital since that was something that we did on our honeymoon in fact I think we did that the night we got married we walked around it but didn't have any pictures of that experience so we went and I had never been inside of it so we did that also and wow it was so neat.. but I'm one of those crazy people that love being from the state of Texas and love all of it's history.

Finally I just want to say this weekends activities were all a surprise to me and I know that Tim worked VERY hard to find things that would excite me and suprise me and he did just that it was really good to get away with him and just relax and that is what we did. Thanks Tim for a wonderful weekend.. I love you and hope we have many more anniveraries to celebrate!
