Trick or Treat

Zach had a couple of friends go with him to trick or treat.. this was the third year we had Eric and Erin come over to go trick or treating with him.  We always pick up some Chick fil a so we can all eat a bite and then it is off to see how much candy they can get in their bags. 

 

Gram-maw and Dzia Dzia came to see us too and we got to give Gram-maw a cake, card and gift for her birthday.

 

Zach's friend birthday party

So since Zach's birthday was actually on a Saturday this year we decided to have his party for his friends on the same day.  This year he had a sleep over with 5 of his friends/cousins... yes 6 little 8 year old boys.. I was asking for trouble!  They were loud and there was a little bit of bossiness but all in all they were boys and I know Zach enjoyed having them over.

Zach is not a fan of cake so we got him a cookie cake.  I was able to get HEB to put the cake decorations on the cookie.  I thought it turned out good.

Yes that is a girl in the picture.. she is Eric's big sister.. she was here for a little bit with her parents who stayed a visited for a while.

They had a blast playing the Wii, jumping on the trampoline, and just playing. We had an Avengers party and I asked them to bring there super hero stuff and did they!

So about 10:30 I decided it was time for a movie and them to settle down a little bit.  So Tim and I got our two blow up queen mattresses up and got the kids in their pjs and got them down to watch the movie.

After the Lorax was over I told them it was time to close their eyes!  I was midnight so they had stayed up late.  I think they were a sleep 10 mins later.  I ended up sleeping in the living room with them on the recyliner.. I just wanted to make sure they were ok especially since we had one that had never spent the night anywhere and a few that had never stayed with us before.  But they did fine... they woke up around 7:30 the next morning and I made them pancakes for breakfast.  Since we didn't have time to do the pinata (this was a request from Zach since he had never had one before) the night before Tim helped me get it set up for them after breakfast.  So they got dressed and we went to the back to wack the pinata.  I told them to get around it and that they would get one wack and then it would be the next person's turn.  I wanted to make sure they all had a chance to hit it before it got torn up.  So they all got a few wacks at it and then I told them ok let's see who can open it.. and it didn't take no time for those boys to get it opened.

Once opened they all got a bag with their name on it and they got all the candy they could get.  Afterwards they played a little more until their parents came and got them.  I think they all had a good time and I know Zach did!  He is already talking about having another next year.. we will have to see about that..

Eric's birthday

Weekend before last was our good friend's son Eric's 8th birthday, if you are a regular to the blog then you probably know Eric.  I always know that when he has his birthday then it is time for me to get ready for Zach's.  This year they did a swimming party and just had a couple of people over.  It was nice to see them and Zach enjoyed swimming!

and we can't forget the cake and ice cream..boy was it good!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everybody! (And Happy Birthday Mommy aka..Gram-maw!!!) Zach had a blast this year being Darth Vader.  We had Eric and Erin come again this year to go trick or treating with us. They had a good time walking the neighborhood.  They got LOTS of candy which they were very happy about. Didn't get the best picture of Zach in his outfit.  I might get a better one this weekend but this will do for now.

Eric and Erin helped their mom make a couple of Jack-O-Laterns..  They brought them for us to put by our door for the night.. aren't they cute.

Zach's 7th birthday party!

We had Zachary 7th birthday party today at the AMF Bowling Alley in The Woodlands.  We had just a few of his friends (which they are all more like family) come and enjoy a afternoon of bowling.  We got to play 2 games and we all had a blast trying to make a strike!

A great time was had by all.  I just can't believe my baby is going to turn 7 this week!  He is growing up to fast!

 

Happy Halloween!

We had a great time yesterday, Zach was the Silver Machine Iron Man I think someone said it was from the Iron Man 2 movie.  We got up early and went to my parents house and Zach trick or treated there first.. it was also my mom's birthday (Happy Birthday Mom!) and so we gave her her gifts also.  Zach loved seeing Gram-Maw and Dzia Dzia!

As we were leaving I saw that someone was leaving Aunt Rosie's house so we waited so we could show her.. she thought he was cute..

I went ahead and took a few pictures of Zach out in the yard during the day of him and Iron Man (when the mask was on he was Iron Man)

Then we got home did a few things around the house to get things ready for when Erin and Eric came over. Finally it was time for them to come so Zach got his outfit back on and they are were so cute!
