Sundance Square - Ft. Worth

We went to see Sam Houston Baseball team at the NCAA Ft. Worth Regionals a couple of weeks ago and we had a little time before one of the games so we went into Ft. Worth and checked out Sundance Square in the heart of downtown.  The last time we went we checked out the stockyards and had a blast but we wanted to see something different this time.

Here is Zach making fun of the Bass Hall Angel..

Walking we found my favorite radio station that I listen to on a app.. Called 95.9 The Ranch they play Texas County Music...

Then we found the Rangers Store.. you know we had to stop in and get a baseball shirt for Zach.

We also had to stop in the Dallas Cowboy store to pick something up for Aunt Deb!

Here is us in front of the Ft. Worth mural

Down the street from this you can see the Tarent County Courthouse.. You know how I love courthouses.. I didn't get a great full photo of it but like what I got.

It was a fun little side trip.

Fort Worth Stockyards

This weekend we went up to Fort Worth for the NASCAR race but we got up there early Friday and decided to make a trip to the Fort Worth Stockyards it was something that none of us had ever did before but that I had always wanted to see.  It was definitly something to see.  We didn't get to see the cattle moved but we did get to see Billy Bob's, the famous sign and lots of cattle being moved for the rodeo that night.

While we were walking Zach discovered that there was a horse riding place down by the hotel.. he told Tim that he wanted to ride and Tim told him he didn't see any horses down there.. then his come back was come on.. can't a kid have some fun..so we walked down there and there weren't any horses but the guy told us that they would be back soon that we could go ahead and fill out the paperwork.  So I was working on the paperwork when the guy walked over to where Tim and Zach were waiting and he asked Zach what he did.. he told him that he was a baseball player.. the guy goes wow I've never met a professional baseball player before.  So the horses came back and they took Zach in the arena.  He got to ride a beautiful paint horse...

Zach had a blast!  While he was riding a cowboy who does the guy fighting came up and he started talking to the guy that was walking Zach around then the guy told the cowboy that Zach was a professional baseball player so the cowboy goes really what kind of money does a baseball player make?  Zach got shy and won't say anything so I go he makes a piece of bubble gum..(that is what his coach gives all the boys after a game) and the cowboy goes that sounds like a pretty good deal.

Here is a little video of our little cowboy...
