Zach's first Confession

Today Zach has his first Confession.  We have been studing for this all this semester we have learned all 5 of our prayers and did our work in his workbook.  Last night they had a retreat for the kids and it was done by 3 sisters.  I don't think Zach had ever see one before so it was new to him.  I wasn't sure what this was going to be like be it really wasn't too bad.  They helped with explaining how today would go and they made them really think about the sins they would confess.  So it wasn't too bad.  They talked to them about being sheep and being lost and they made them make a mask so they could be the sleep.

My little sheep.

They had given us some cheat sheets to help the kids and so this morning we went over everything one more time and I folded it up and put it in his pocket and we were off to church.  I was really nervous for him but I think he was ok.  They had a few readings then introduced the priest that would be helping out and then they split them up.  It didn't take him to long and then he came out and we got his certificate and then it was on to do his pennance which was one Hail Mary (not to bad).  So we are now 2 sacraments down!  We will be doing his First Communion in April.  Keep him and all the kids that will be making theirs in your prayers.. My family has him and 3 more boys it will be a busy April!

Not the best picture but did it with my iphone quickly.
