1st day of school

Today was Zach's first day at his new school.  He was both excited and nervous.  I was both for him too.. just hope he meets some new friends.  Just hope he has a great year!

Vegas Baby! Part 1

Tim and I haven't had a vacation together in a few years.. you may remember our 10 Year Anniversary getaway back in October 2009.. So when figuring out which flight to take to Vegas for a board meeting I had to go to for an organization I'm involved in we decided maybe Tim should go with me.  This all almost didn't happen because his mom is not doing well but we got everyone's blessing to go and have a good time and so we did and I think it was a good trip for the both of us especially him.

So we left on Wednesday and got there around 11:00 and we walked in the hotel laughing about the crazy driver we had.. We told the guy at the desk about it and she said well I'm fixing to make your night.. We have sold out of rooms but we have one room that we usually reserve for certain people.  It is only 2400 sq feet.. Tim looked at him and goes the high rollers?!?! HE WAS RIGHT!!  We got the biggest room they had.. When we walked in the room we realized how lucky we were.. it was gorgeous!!!

We are still here

I know it has almost been two months since my last post.. but we have been busy!  Around Spring Break we decided it was time to start thinking about moving.  We planned when we moved here that before Zach went to middle school we would know where we wanted to move to.  So during Spring Break we cleaned and cleaned and cleaned to make this house look good for future buyers.   That Thursday we put the house up for sale and 33 days later we had a buyer.. hopefully by the end of this week we will be renters.. the new buyers have been nice enough to rent our house back to us for 2 months while our new home is finished being built.  We will hopefully be moving by the end of July to Magnolia.  We are super excited.  So now you know we have been busy getting ready for everything.. and there are a few other things just happening.. you know life.. just give everyone you love a big hug every time you see them..

First game - against the Rangers

We ended up not having a first game on opening day but we did two days later against the Rangers.  The boys had a great game!  We ended up not even playing an hour because they 10 run ruled them.

Tomball Baseball Parade/Grand Slam

Last Saturday was the start of baseball season.  As always they start the season with a parade of all of the teams.  It is fun to see all the kids be so excited about going down Main Street.  This year we got lucky and didn't have a game since there are and odd number of teams.  So we did the parade and then pictures and we were done!

Easter Bunny

Zach got his picture taken with the Easter Bunny last Friday.  I know he is kind of old for that but I wanted to get them done with his little cousin (sorry I can't put her picture on here).  I really just wanted the picture of them but he walked up there and the next thing I know he is taking his picture with him.  When we got to see them I was surprised to see this one...

It was worth it!  

Field Day 2013

The same week Zach has his first play he also had his first field trip to see a play (I wasn't able to go so I don't have any pictures) and that Friday they had field day which I think is their favorite day of the year.  I decided not to volunteer this year so I could go around with Zach's class.  It was fun to get see them get excited about every game they played.
